Have you ever been to the mountains?
•
u/Upbeat_Cry_3902 8h ago
No
•
u/gingerbeard1321 8h ago
Have you ever been to the mountains...on weed?
•
u/Upbeat_Cry_3902 8h ago

Have you ever been over a friend's house to eat?

We’re all more impressed with the dog. The camera should follow the pup.
Also - probably AI.
•
u/LunarTaxi 5h ago
It’s not. I follow this guy on instagram. He’s a tour guide in Peru. His dog is the best part.

•
u/psh454 7h ago
What makes you say AI - I don't see any red flags and have seen similar sand surfing vids years ago
•
u/DarioWinger 6h ago
Where is a dune thats so high above the cloud with no dune next to it?
•
u/WebMD_PhD 5h ago
It was explained in another post. It’s actually a mountain not a dune, the terrain is just eroded to the point of it being like this. I think it was in Peru or something.

Peru, Bolivia, chile, Morocco, just to name the ones I’ve seen in person.
•

Absolutely nothing, they just decided to apply zero critical thinking skills. They saw a video that seemd a little too cool for what they normally see, and due to the prevalence of AI, chose to believe that it must be fake because they've never seen anything like it.

u/FriendshipOld9849 9h ago
This is sped up
•
u/Irksomecake 9h ago
Yeah. I saw people sandboarding a while back and was pretty surprised at how incredibly slow it was compared with how i expected it to be.
•
u/Bicykwow 9h ago
Unquestionably. I went sand boarding at the dunes in Florence, OR. Absolutely one of the most disappointing "extreme sports" experiences, second only to ziplines.
•
u/Ambitious_Bit_9389 8h ago
I’ve been to one zip line park. I think your first zip line is kinda cool, then you find out it’s supposed to be an all day activity.

It's not. That's Toro Mata Dune in Peru. It's amazing to actually see.
•
u/loboazul97 8h ago
I have been there, it does not look like this and you cant see clouds below.
•

u/Jaszuni 8h ago
Hey the guy said he didn’t see it that one time he was up there so we have to believe him
•
u/Drunkengota 8h ago
Believe it or not, that guys never evens been. I follow him around and have for years. Mf doesn’t even have a passport.
•
u/Timber_Nomad 8h ago edited 7h ago
I've been there. Taken a jeep to the top. When the mist and fog rolls off the Pacific it looks like a bed of clouds lying below.
Just because you personally didn't see something doesn't mean it isn't true.
•
u/whiteapplebourbon 9h ago
Shut up.
•
u/loboazul97 9h ago
There doesnt exist a dune that big om earth mate. You can even see clouds bellow.
•
u/ProphetCoffee 9h ago
Toromata Dune all the sand boarding advertisements have some version of “Ride above the clouds”. It does exist mate and you can see the clouds.
•
u/loboazul97 8h ago
No, it doesnt, i have been there, it really doesnt look like this. Why do you think you have never seen a video like this ?
•
u/ProphetCoffee 8h ago
I have seen a video like this when I looked it up online tf are you on about use your resources
•
u/Far-Win8645 9h ago
This is a real place in Peru. The drop is 1.2 km

•
u/loboazul97 9h ago

The dog made me think of the PC downhill ski game where a snow monster comes out of nowhere and eats you.

u/FlavoredCancer 9h ago
Falling in snow isn't typically all that painful. What is it like falling in the sand?
•
u/Penyrolewen1970 8h ago
Huh. Depends how fast you're going and how hard the piste is. Definitely better off-piste - as long as you miss any rocks.

For anyone thinking about taking their dog on the Mountain for real, please train doggo to sit and stay when dropping in and keeping a good distance behind you while carving. Many three legged dogs in mountain towns because of stuff like this.

•
u/Timber_Nomad 9h ago
You're an idiot. That's the Toro Mata dune in Peru. It's well known for sand boarding and offering some of the world's longest runs. Like close to 6,000 ft.
I've been there, it's huge and your can book a ride to the top to see the view. When the mists and fog rolls off the Pacific ocean, it looks like a bed of clouds below you.
Not everything is AI. Maybe you should get outside and see how the world is actually amazing and beautiful.

u/Billy_Chrystals 8h ago
Is everything just AI slop now?
•
•
u/Altruistic-Tooth8200 8h ago
Not AI, just an annoying lens and the footage is sped up a little bit.
•
u/FireMammoth 8h ago
is every goober going to proclaim everything is AI now?
