Discussion I feel like people are underestimating Isiset.

So people are probably missing the following: When you play Isiset, the constructs are frozen and have summoning sickness. But afterwards they are only frozen and immediately stop being frozen after casting 15 mana worth of spells. That means, that they will be able to attack immediately once unfrozen unless Isiset was played the same turn.

So for your opponent that means they either have to deal with the 10/10s anyway or risk suddenly getting hit with 20 damage to the face.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't think that Isiset will be a top tier card or anything. You still have to find a turn to be able to play her without dying. But I also don't think that it will be garbage.

Isiset is mostly bad because it is a Mage card where surviving is a biggest problem for you to skip a turn just dropping a very slow stat bomb while other classes have significantly more active stat bombs. Even Legendary Leylines spell which is big tempo turn after feels often too slow to play.

Also one of the most common classes - the Priest which according to HSGuru about 23% of Diamond/Legend - can counter it with 1 card (Shadow Word: Ruin) and have few turns to find the counter.

Makes sense considering how [[Living Dragonbreath]] interacts when it unfreezes minions.

I think everybody realizes that and it is, in fact, the only thing that makes the card remotely worth considering. 15 mana on spells is a lot and it will be very telegraphed for the opponent on when to deal with the constructs, unless you can go double Arrival of the Titans the following turn.

6 mana do nothing. If I wanted to play high cost game-enders, I would play the fabled package.

6 mana for a 5/5 and the potential to do 20 damage a few turns later (assuming you don't get board wiped before then) is terrible by any measure. You will be dead before the constructs get unfrozen because of the massive tempo loss.

Thing is, there is no board wipe right now. Not for 20 HP

I've been playing Duke from Below + Bat Mask Warlock and only priest can board wipe tall minions.

We are currently living through the perfect condition for Isiset to work

That’s a known bug and not the version she’ll be going live as.

You could lowkey run [[Royal Librarian]] and silence one for a surprise attack next round.

I agree with you. People are also forgetting about [[Constellar's Calling]]. With [[Cosmic_Springs]] you could have a turn 6 where you play Isiset, refresh 2 with Springs, play Constellar's on the construct and now you have a 10-drop. The 10-drop pool is mostly quite good and there are a few 10-drops that have potential to just win it for you on the spot (like our beloved turtle). This is not such an unrealistic scenario either, you basically need to draw 3 cards by turn 6, on a class with really good draw right now.

I can see some sort of spell Mage where you run the Vrykul that draws 2 and summons eles, Isiset and Manastorm appearing, relying on draw and Discs to tutor. I've played a bunch of Manastorm this expac and it's really not that horrible, it's not like it instantly folds to aggressive decks. In my experience one of the worst matchups is actually Druid due to infinite Shaladrassil trick. I also have a feeling we will have a slower meta in Black Empire due to all the aggro hate that's been printed.

I feel like people always assume you're in a spot where you're extremely pressured and basically die on the spot unless the card completely flips the board on the spot. Two 10/10s can only be really ignored if you can kill the mage before they unfreeze, and a random Tortolla or the 6/12 DH taunt guy can throw a wrench in that plan.

In a weaker meta, Cho'Gall could dump a similarly huge pile of stats down, and it wasn't even played in the deck that was designed for it. The minions did not need any hoops to jump through in order to attack the next turn.

Isiset is entering in what looks like a much stronger set. It would be interesting to see if she becomes meta relevant, but slow meatballs don't tend to do well in Hearthstone anymore.
