Discussion Yogg's Assemble Asylum - a free fan site where you can Assemble cards before Reign of the Black Empire launches
Assemble is the new keyword coming Oct 20: you get a random minion, then swap the top or bottom half of its text with half of one of two other minions. I wanted to try it before launch, so I built a little site for it.
https://yoggs-assemble-asylum.pages.dev
What you can do
- Daily Assemble: one random minion a day, just for you. Pick a half and your card gets a power rating out of 100, plus how your pick ranked against your other three options. Post yours below.
- Workshop: pick any class and any revealed Assemble card (Sandcrafter, Chisel, Rajh, Mismatcher and the rest) and roll as many times as you like. Using another class's card? It tells you whether your class can actually get it in Standard, and how.
- Save or copy your card as an image.
How it's built
It follows what Blizzard has confirmed: the cost band (same Cost up to 2 more), Neutral plus your class, no Assemble minions or Old Gods, nothing that needs the minion alive under a Deathrattle, and the trait cards (Chisel, Fleshshape, Sandcrafter) only promising the trait on your minion. Rajh gets its own pool of halves that work as a passive hero power.
What it can't know is the exact list of ~250 pool cards, so I use a wider pool (about 590 minions) and cut cards whose halves can't work apart. Some cards you make here won't exist in the real game. There's a "What's real here?" panel that separates confirmed rules from my own calls.
If you build something that couldn't work in game, there's a "report it here" link under every result. I've already cut a few cards from early reports.
What's the dumbest card you can make?

I got 5 mana 5/4, battlecry and deathrattle: split 100 stats among minions in your deck and that was 56/100???

They leaked that some spells (and weapons) will be in the side options. Your tool doesnt seem to have them

Hey I actually talked about this in my video. https://youtu.be/fTROfWNNuQk?t=256

if your argument is "they removed it", then you can check the library right now - it doesnt show any of them. but the dh sigil was showcased (so if you use other cards shown, the they should also be included)

Interesting when I posted the video they had not made that fix. All the documentation I have says this is minions only, hence my theory of new Assemble a weapon or spell cards in the upcoming class sets.

Thanks, my understanding was this was a developer sandbox so they could showcase crazy loops.

it would be very weird that dh sigils (or that druid 2 cost spell, which is basically a sigil) make so much sense for assemble side options. there is a chance that they remove it, but i doubt that if they did, they would add a special case examples for them

Appreciate the site! Fun to think about things that could matter in different situations

I assembled a Rajh hero power of "Whenever you cast a spell, gain stats equal to its Cost," and it ranked it as the worst option, and I'm like... unless I'm missing something, it should be giving my hero +X health every spell I cast and +X permanent attack, because attack only fades if the card specifically says it does. Its so strong that it would never actually be in the game. The way this site grades cards is a little off.

The scoring is just super arbitrary and just for fun. I think that this particular combination would need to be trimmed from my tool since we can't give our Hero stats...as far as I know.

Idk im not buying ANY sort of theory-crafting or too strong/weak outrage cries till i see it in game.
There seem to be so many variables that any sort of discussion feels pointless

Nothing wrong with that, just for fun.

Not a dig at you personally man, i just feel we dont know everything yet and it annoys me seeing people hype every up relentlessly

Oh I didn't take it that way. I agree, its too hard to say what actually good yet.

Yea Sprite this needs to be cut, thanks for calling it out.

I think there should be more combos that can't be allowed either. Notably, Dethrattles shouldn't be able to cause you to make decisions like discovering cards or picking cards in your hand since Blizz doesn't let you play during the opponent's turn.

absolutely, if you assemble them please use the report tool and I will get it fixed

I know using Mismatcher to make an Elven Archer with "spread +100/+100 among the minions in your deck" isn't the best use of that much mana cheat, but it's still appealing.
I was today years old when I realized Mismatcher is going to be in imbue pools. Incredibly unlikely to actually get, since this is the biggest possible pool of expansions while imbue and assemble share standard, but still, I think I'll be playing priest in two weeks.

Wait, what do you mean by Mismatcher being in Imbue pools? I don't follow.

u/jsnlxndrlv 13h ago
I mean that if you activate the imbued priest hero power when you have the mana and/or accumulated discount to be able to play a five-cost minion, sometimes you'll be offered Mismatcher as one of your two choices. This is neither strong nor consistent, but I will have a lot of fun trying to make it happen. I'm sure there are better options for accumulating multiple assemble cards beyond the ones you put in your decklist initially, though.

u/thedizzyfly 13h ago
Oh I see, so like if you wanted more than 2 copies of Mismatcher you could get more from Blessing of the Moon, cool!

I don't know that I'm too impressed by this tbh, but it depends on the minion pool. I'm playing with the priest one and about half of my attempts are pretty useless, and then there's the occasional thing like "Battlecry: your cards cost (1) this game" that surely won't make it in.

yeah buddy, this card will definitely be in the Rajh pool
