I need a little help for First Handgun

Let me just give you a little insight before anything. I'm a student and for the first time in my life i am properly dipping my toes into world of guns and shooting. Now I'm looking to buy my very first handgun, now that being said I will tell you my experience with guns before. My father has 7,65ČZ small compact handgun that he was using in a war while he was Colonel. I've tried that gun and it was horrific so heavy and not very ergonomic but hey first gun that i've used. Then i went to gun range to pass a "course" so i can get my gun license (I live in Croatia btw) and instructor gave me his Glock 17 gen 4 and i absolutly hated that gun for some reason. It was very uncomfortable. Since i can only use gun on range and cannot conceal it (its almost impossible to get that permit) my father bought me Glock 19 gen5 that operates on Co2 so i can pracitce dry fire, draws, etc...when i'm traveling. And G19 was super comfortable in hand, everything felt like a dream (idiotic word i know).

Now that you know my story i need help with recommendation. I fell in love with Springfield/HS Echelon. Its super cheap, right in my budget around 650. I wanted glock but it costs around 1100. And echelon in croatian gun so i have all the parts and everything.

However i'm in a small dilema. I cannot choose between 4.0C and 4.5F. Gun will be primarily for range. However with the situation in the world i want somethung that i can still conceal if shit goes completely down. Now does that 0.5 inches make that huge difference or not? Do any of you have experience with those models and if you do pls help me out.

the 4.0c is basically the sweet spot for what you're describing, it can flex into a carry role without being a pain and you won't really notice that half inch difference on the range

i shot the full size echelon and it's a great gun but for something that might need to get tucked away the compact just makes more sense, especially if you already liked the feel of a glock 19 which is roughly the same size class

also since HS Produkt is right there in your backyard you'll have zero issues with accessories or service which is a nice bonus most of us don't get
