Harbor freight sale

Post image

Was at harbor freight picking up some stuff and saw these were on sale. Decided to pick one up to put on this Kimber TLE custom RL ii. This pistol recently broke a surefire X300U-B. Let’s see how she holds up. I think this looks cool despite being a bargain bin light. Quality seems solid. I actually like the finish more than an actual stream light. $37 for harbor freight members and $45 for non members

Oh, dude. The Harbor Freight weapon lights are actually pretty sought after, lol. Couldn't find them for a while.

Yeah, they're pretty legit. On par with the rest of their reverse-engineered tools, etc. Love HF. Their Pelican style cases are also pretty badass.

Oh yeah got a few of those lol. Who doesn’t love a good bargain on gear?

Yeaaaa but it is what it is, like those boxes are not pelicans in the end

I have a few pelican cases. Tbh, I don't think it's worth the price in comparison. The durability difference between the two is negligible for 99% of use cases (lol). You would really have to beat the shit out of your gear to notice.

I'm pretty rough on equipment, personally. I haven't broke or cracked anything yet, and that's with frequent duty use.

Description for the bot:

Purchased this harbor freight light for a 1911. Let’s see how she runs

I got a few of them when I heard they were tlr1 knockoffs. Two of them I have on rifles. One is a x95 with about 2k rounds through it. And the other a 16” AR with at least 5k. They aren’t being used on “defensive” guns yet, but at this point I would be confident in them.

That’s great input. I want to carry this 1911 eventually with this light so that is actually really insightful

Shit I was there yesterday and they said it was $44.99 for members too. Might have to go back…

They are supposed to be $34.99 for members through 10/8.

What is a link post and how do I post a descriptive comment?

  • A link post is any post that isn't a text post. Reddit is doing a great job of ensuring new users have no idea how Reddit works with their app and site rewrite. We hate both.

  • /r/guns is a sub for talking about guns. It's not a sub to dump gun photos for karma. That's what /r/gunporn is for. That's why we require a descriptive comment – to start a conversation. If you're wondering what to write, picture yourself at a party. You're talking to someone you just met and you want to show them your post. What do you say to them as you get your phone out?

  • I don't know why this needs to be explained, but apparently it does. A comment is a comment. It is not your post's body text/photo caption. We are not asking you to edit anything. We are asking you to post a top level comment under your post.

Do you have issues with the Wilson combat magazine too? When I was running mine it would failure to feed every other round even though I had a polished feed ramp and lubed it to hell and back so it was pretty much bolt action

Honestly have had zero problems in both this and my colt 1911. Only mags I’ve had issues with are kimber mags

I want a Kimber but I honestly can’t decide between a TLE or similar or a 2K11

Man had no clue HF sold this. Glad I ran across this thread. They look good too, understated which is perfect.

I threw one on my fal as a joke since it has liked to eat optics and it hasn't broke in about 2k rounds and I have a 2nd one on my 10mm mp and both show no signs of stopping. Im a little upset honestly
