I’m thinking high speed train from GZ south into Shenzhen and then either Didi or metro the rest. But which station in Shenzhen is my destination?

Hi all, looking for recommendations on the best Dim Sum and Cantonese style eateries near the Ritz Carlton Guangzhou (Xing'an Rd, Tianhe District). Looking for where the locals eat. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated 👍🏼👍🏼

Their website says to reserve on wechat on their official account. But how do I do so? So far when I look at their trip.com page that sells the tickets, the lower tomb is always sold out and I can't see far dates (maybe up till 2 days ltr only).

Anyone has experience booking the lower tomb before?

I went to GZ last week and had a pretty bad experience coming out of the East Railway Station (around 11pm).

First car I got in, I told the driver where to go and he said he didn't know where that was. I said one moment I will show you, and started finding the address on Baidu maps and he kept replying he doesn't know blabla. Then I'm like you don't want me to show you? And he's like nah (btw the conversation was all in Mandarin). So I got off the taxi.

Then next taxi I tried to get in and driver doesn't unlock the doors for me to get in lol. This happened twice.

Finally, I get in a taxi and he starts driving and I tell him where to go. He doesn't reply to me or confirm anything, no head movement at all, just keeps driving. Towards the end of the ride he starts complaining that the distance is too short blablabla. He looks genuinely upset.

I just took Didis for the rest of the trip and it was much better. Is it always like that or did I just get unlucky? It was weird for me because I take the taxis in Shenzhen almost every day and never have any issues. Drivers never complain and always stop when I flag them down.

We are visiting next year during the LNY holiday and would like to do either a one day trip or an overnight elsewhere. Our hotel is booked, so there's no going back and checking out and then checking in, but I'm willing to pay for one night elsewhere if we decide to do that.

We are traveling with a toddler, and an elderly (the elderly is from guangzhou and has been to Guilin before a VERY long time ago). Which would you prefer? What are the pros and cons? Watching the Hong Kong channels..Guilin seems very interesting...but somewhat farther.

I'm looking at transportation and these seem to be either one hour or two hours by bullet train, so I think both can be done in one day..depending on what we want to see.

I'm a young entrepreneur from Spain starting my own jewelry brand, and I'll be in Guangzhou from December 16 to 26 to source stainless steel jewelry and branded packaging.

I'm looking for someone to join me for 1–2 days (dates flexible, between Dec 17–25) at markets like Xijiao Building and Taikang Jewelry City. I need help with:

• Translating and communicating with vendors
• Understanding prices and MOQs
• Ideally some help negotiating

Spanish speakers are a big plus, but English is fine. A university student would be perfect, and experience with wholesale markets is a bonus but not required.

I'll pay a fixed daily rate, plus lunch and transport that day.

Where is the best place to find someone who can help with sourcing?

We are looking for a short-term or freelance sourcing agent who is connected with reputable factories that can accept low MOQ but large overall quantities per month. Preferably manufacturers based in Dongguan or Guangzhou.

As a Canadian traveling in Foshan for the 5th time. I found Urcove by Hyatt to be my favorite by far. I had associates staying at $300 a night beautiful 5-6 Star hotels. They changed over to the Hyatt and loved it. I have stayed at the Louvre and Marriott. Beautiful hotels . But nothing beats Urcove by Hyatts location.

Great location for a tourist . There is a huge high-end shopping mall attached to the hotel. And a action packed night market right across the street. Every food option you can imagine less then 1-5 minutes walk. Every service you need is all around you. Massage , salons , banks. , 711, Starbucks, KFC , dominoes for those who need some north american comfort food Also has great rates. I've been here for 10 nights during the Chinese holidays. . Paid $75 Canadian dollars most nights. Went up to $100 during the holiday weekend. But thats understandable. Staff is awesome, very helpful. Breakfast was $10 and had a good selection of local dishes and American breakfast standard items.. highly recommended

After completing my online registration, I am looking for hotels near line 8 since i heard traffic could be crazy and public transit is a way better option.

Are there specific limits during canto fair?? For example, can I bring a ~20-inch suitcase for brochures and samples collected at the fair? What is the queue like?

For those who have visited several times, have you found quality products there? How do you confirm whether a supplier is reliable? Do you do the warehouse visit after the Canton fair?
