Over in r/MildyInfuriating, there's a story of a son who turned down the BOGO. It reminded me of our story at Publix when we moved to Florida.

When my son was about 10, he was in the room with us adults and we were talking about Publix BOGO and excited about what was on sale that week. He asked what 'BOGO' meant, and we told him "Buy One, Get One".

A couple of days later, with a neighbor visiting, the topic of BOGO came up again. My son couldn't understand what the hype was for.

"Isn't every store BOGO?", he asked.

"What do you mean?", I asked.

He said, "When you buy one, you get one. That's how stores work."

It took us a second to realize how he perceived BOGO to work. We told him he was right, and explained it to him.

20 years later and it's still a cute story that he tells.

Hello! I work at a public library in the panhandle and just learned about St. John's County library card month discount program. I had no idea about this and think it's so cool!!! Im looking if any other public libraries do a similar discount program with local businesses.

To be clear, I dont mean museum passes or things like that. But like the 10% off coffee stuff if you show your library card during September. I love this idea!!

Please let me know if you know of any other library system doing this 🙏

My fiancee and I are planning our wedding for spring of 2028 and we loved the White Room in St Augustine, but when we toured, it was SO hot. Do they even have AC? Also is the noise bad from outside?

I got approved but I’m under medically needy/share of cost. It also says it’s still processing. Do I have to wait for it to finish processing before doing anything else?

needed to get a routine blood test done, so I decided to try August Care after hearing that the process was supposed to be pretty straightforward.

Unfortunately, my experience was more frustrating than I expected.

The first issue was choosing a lab. I had trouble figuring out which location I was actually selecting, and some of the options showing up weren't particularly convenient for me.

Finding a workable appointment time was another headache. Most of the available slots didn't really fit my schedule, so I had to rearrange my day around the appointment.

Even after booking, I still ended up waiting around 15 minutes after arriving.

I eventually got the test done, so it wasn't a disaster or anything. I just expected the process to be considerably more seamless based on what I'd heard.

Has anyone else in Florida used August Care for lab work? Did you have a similar experience, or did everything go smoothly?

Anybody know how to update your license plate on sun pass website? When I click transponders and vehicles, then click edit under the vehicle, all of the license plate options are greyed out. I assume you have to delete the vehicle but want to make sure first?
