New Guitar Day! Got my first offset, Vintera III Jazzmaster. ALMOST went with the Jag but I strum right where the pickup switches are and I just know I’d be losing my mind hitting them by accident lol the tone on this thing is incredible and exactly what I’ve been chasing with my Strat for years, so no regrets

Smart choice on the JazzM, IMO. You chose proper Fender scale of 25-1/2.
Short scale guitars like Jags or Gibbos tske a different right elbow.
Now, how much use can one make of circuit switching rhythm/lead tone circuits.
There's possibilities.
Idea may date from the Esquire switch, which doesn't change pickups at all.

Could have always done the Cobain mod to a Jag and removed the pickup switches for a toggle.
Can't say you made the wrong choice, though. I always loved Jazzmasters more and that one is stunning.
