(big wall of text, sorry not sorry)
Hello hello, wonderful FARCRY community!
I won’t beat around the bush: Friday October 2nd is my last day at Ubisoft.
And just so there’s no confusion, leaving Ubisoft was my decision.
It feels a little strange writing this because, long before I ever worked on FARCRY, I was one of you. I played the games, waited for the next releases, spent way too many hours running around causing absolute chaos... you know, normal FARCRY things.
So getting the opportunity to actually join the team and work on a franchise I already loved was pretty surreal. And then I got to meet you.
I had the chance to do some pretty cool things with this community during my time here, chat with you, read your feedback, laugh at your memes, lurk through your conversations, and occasionally pop up from the shadows to answer something.
I only wish I could have shared even more with you all... (one day, it will happen) 👀
But most importantly, thank you for caring so deeply about FARCRY and for making this community what it is.
I know things aren't always sunshine, rainbows and explosions around here.
But I have one little request before I go:
Please continue to be kind to each other.
As of Friday, I don't know who will be taking over my role or when the next Community Developer will join you, so I unfortunately don't have a new face to introduce or a timeline to share. Until they find someone to replace me, you may notice our social channels becoming even quieter than they already are, and that's completely normal. So don't panic if you don't see as many posts, replies, or interactions for a little while.
But whenever that person does arrive, please give them a warm welcome. Joining an established community can be a little intimidating at first, especially one as passionate as this one, but I know you'll make them feel welcome, just like you did with me.
And for those of you who also follow the FARCRY social accounts on X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc., yep... some of those posts, replies, jokes and questionable decisions you've seen over the past couple of years were me too.
I'll still be around online, just no longer hiding behind the FARCRY logo.

Keep being loud. Keep sharing what you love (and what you don't ).
Keep looking after each other.
And please, for the love of all things FARCRY...
don't burn the place down the second I leave.

FarCry 5: <2 times
FarCry: 1 time
FarCry Primal: 1 time
FarCry Blood Dragon: <1 time
FarCry 6: couldn't even complete
I think it might be unpopular opinion but by far FarCry 4 is the best one. Yours ?

Anyone else just drive around getting yetis to chase you and messing with them?
Also what’s with their spawns? It seems like the randomly spawn out of nowhere and then will despawn if I drive around big rocks formation or something like that

I’ve played every installment since 2. Some installments I value more for their gameplay innovations and mechanics, some I value more for their narrative, cinematic, and storytelling aspects. I love them all, and this is just my personal opinion.
But when I weigh it all (all of them) up, I come down to 5 being the best overall, incorporating all elements equally, so far. Btw being a video game and a narrative experience, it’s the one that lands the most aspects of a single player open world with a strong narrative out of the entire series. And that’s really what far cry has been from the beginning, right? A balance of both?
You can argue that any of the others are better in a single aspect. But this is the one the just really gets close to epic quality on every level, without a glaring weak point. Narrative, world, mechanics.
If there is one for me that gets high marks on everything, it’s 5. Maybe a little weak by the end, but they all suffer that. For me, I wanted to 100% this game from the moment I picked it up, more than any other installment. It hooked me way faster than any others.
Just my two cents. Curious to see what the rest of the sub thinks.

The fact that Rook never talks, though, means that the monologues of others are the only opinions that we hear in the game. The villains speak, unchallenged, for minutes at a time. Our allies have the same opportunity, which is why doomsday preppers and people who are on the lookout for “eye-talians” suck up all the rest of the talking time in the game.

Hello everyone, i started farcry 4 quite recently, i'm worried about armored soldiers. My first encounter went orribly wrong. These guys take a lot of magazines, and explosives don't work on them. (I use an 1811, an MS16 and one of the first sniper rifles, and a granade launcher in the secondary slot.)

I had Far Cry 4, Primal and 5 in my backlog for years and recently got back to them. After 100%-ing Far Cry 5, it is one of my favorites, right next to 3 and Blood Dragon. I was about to buy New Dawn, and then I saw that it has a gear score system and enemy levels.
How much does this affect gameplay? I love smart game difficulty, but I hate spongy enemies. Are weapons useless on tougher enemies? Can that be compensated through skill? I dome most of the enemies in Far Cry, so if I'm headshotting everything, will I run into enemies that still take a bunch of hits to the head to die? This is something that pulls me out of games a lot, and I would like to avoid it.
