Player Discussion Is KAT underrated?
I've done mock drafts where I see him fall to the lake 2nd/early 3rd. Why? Towns was the best player for the Knicks during the finals. The Knicks ran their offense through him and Mike Brown said they will do the same again this year. He averaged like 6 assists in the postseason. I think we should see a bump in assists an even scoring. Drummond is awful that gives them no defense. Plus, he's playing for contract. Why is Josh Lloyd dropping the ball again saying that he's low on him? Because of a deep playoff run? Huh? I have a suspension that Lloyd is secretly downplaying certain guys so he can get a discount in his own leagues. Towns should be drafted early 2nd round. He should not fall past pick 15.

That seems like quite a stretch, but OK...

It’s mostly because he doesn’t have enough upside, and also like ANT usually doesn’t climb past his ADP
Also because other picks are better and he didn’t have as much rest in the offseason
He’s great, but he goes solidly ~18th to me after AR and Murray, and the usual folks since those people have more potential

I think people draft these guys slightly earlier than maybe they should be, BECAUSE they’re a known commodity and reliable

I was a KAT owner last year, I found him inconsistent in points h2h. yes it says he averages 40 fantasy points but then when u need it most he gives only 24 that day or something
Also didn’t like how he got into foul trouble quite a bit, I kid you not, he got 2 early fouls in the first 4 minutes of the game and wouldn’t go back on till late 2nd quarter and then he would pick up another early 3rd quarter and wouldn’t see him again till mid 4th quarter.

For me he’s on the wrong side of his prime entering the 12th year of his nba career. That’s a lot of mileage for a big man. He barely averaged 20 ppg and .5 bpg last year, it’s solid but it’s not really that exciting. That’s just not a good situation if you are picking close to the turn.

Probably because he’s not the focal point of the team. He’s got a teammate who is a ball hog.

Did you see what the Knicks did in the playoffs with Kat? How was Brunson a ball hog

10t espn h2h pts league. In the 2nd round I have pick 15 and was wondering who to take between sengun, Jamal Murray, Maxey, sabonis, and maybe Josh Giddey?

You may regret that in a pts league brodie

maybe maybe not im going off his value from two years ago, where he was avging like 48(ik its not realistic to assume he do that but, hes also been generally healthy and had an expanding role in the playoffs) maybe it was a slightly safer pick but i lve always prioritized availability and consistency over upside, and have taken some risks lower in my draft.

I see your reasoning. I hope it works out for you, could def be a genius pick. At the end of the day we all just guessing

yeah for sure, no one knows until the szn actually starts, I do agree that after i drafted kat i had second thoughts of maybe playing it too safe

I think he's one of the best high floor players but also at the early part of drafts people are really looking for guards to build around since assists, points and FT% dry up very quickly compared to big man stats that you can find even in your last few picks
