Guys, this is the one time you need to use the full quote. I thought he was talking about his time with T.R. Knight.

Condolences to his family for sure. But she died 16 months ago and just yesterday he posted that the rumours are true and confirmed her passing? What utterly odd behaviour.

So if I don’t post my spouse’s passing on instagram it didn’t happen?!?

Hi! I’m not sure if you’re misunderstanding me or if I’m misunderstanding you. Of course it’s incredibly sad and of course he’s experiencing the devastation. I don’t mean to undermine that. I just find it very strange to address a spouse’s passing 16 months later. Celebrity or not. I’m just wondering what the impetus for the post just yesterday could be. Do you not also find it unusual?

Not that weird I don't think. It was a sudden and unexpected death. Also his post says
"I don’t know if this is an appropriate post, because Jenisa Washington was extremely private, but I guess I just have to be reprimanded from her on the other side."
I could see wanting to respect her wishes until he was at a point in the grieving process where he wanted to talk about it.

Maybe he's just beginning to get over the mourning & depression & felt like going to social media to publicly announce it because it hurts less?
I have no idea though, I can't read minds...

This is not a good take. Is there a statue of limitation as to when it should stop hurting? When you should react? I can make a post 5 years later because I’ve spent the time too devastated to move. How old are you?

Greif is a weird thing and honestly it's no one else's business besides family and friends

“The rumors are true” is an insane thing to say on this post headline. Let’s better than the awful entertainment sub.

A woman is dead and you make it about someone else.

I don't feel an ounce of sadness for him.

That would obviously be too human and empathetic for you

He was 40-something when he used the slur; people don't change much after a certain age. I am half his age, and I am in no way a bigot. He never took true accountability for being homophobic; why would he change now?

u/el_palmera 10h ago
Idk, bigots kind of think people can't change

Idk what you're saying, but everything that transpired shows that he is not apologetic about the situation and only cared about his job. He continued to lie about what went down and tried to victimise himself. He didn't care what happened to TR, and how difficult it has be coming out globally.

It’s been 20 years. When are people allowed to grow and unlearn?
-4
u/SingSing-_- 10h ago
Would you feel the same way if TR called him n

Yes. People make mistakes and sometimes, not always, learn from them. It’s called “personal growth.” Not everyone is doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over.

Condolences to his family (doesn’t excuse his ridiculous backward thinking and harassment) but I do hope he and his family find peace in this awful time.
