How is this okay

I just picked up DD1 on Steam having dumped hours and hours into it on Xbox360 as a kid. I remember each map having its own challenge, but I can't seem to find them. Yes, I've checked under all the CTD content. I've googled. I've checked Reddit and Discussions. I feel like I'm losing my mind. Did they remove the original challenges at some point, or am I just blind?

So in both of these pics (and I have lots of others), the game is showing the "Tower Attack Damage" stat in RED despite (a) the item being a clear and huge upgrade, and more importantly, (b) the stat is way higher, even compared to the fully upgraded 31/31 item in the first pic. Oh, and (c) when I actually put the item on, my stats in my character page do go up by the exact amount.

So what's going on here? Why's it red?

Hi all... MOST of my characters are 78 now, with the exception of my Countess which is 83... But I only have seen 3-4 pieces of Transcendent gear drop.

Endless Spires Wave 1 on Nightmare was a super easy way to farm a ton of Mythical gear, but most of it is pretty low-tier... Is there an equivalent that I could be doing for Transcendent now that I'm 78 and can wear it? Or should I strive for higher-tier Mythicals somewhere?

Just looking to get most of my characters to around ~1000-1500 in Tower Stats. They all have ~350-400 Fish in Bowls, but only ~700 total stats with the exception of the Countess, again. :(

Im trying to sell some items and since there's no auction house its hard.

For context; I'd like to experience starting afresh with a friend having gotten the game, but I don't want the lobbies raising the starting waves etc (even some maps like Halloween Invasion start me at wave 11/16 because of having high-level characters), BUT I'd like to not lose my progress, there's characters on there with gear that took way too long to get to be willing to just delete them.

Basically, I'm asking if there's a way to almost have a 2nd profile for ranked or similar for a 2nd set of characters. I know open/community exists but for the few achievements I don't have I'd like them to still be obtainable in the future.

I really loved playing dd2 but... it's a very old game and I really don't know what to do now, so I was looking for a similar game (excluding other dd games cause I already watched some videos and I didn't like them), but I could only find orc must die 3, witch I loved too! But after you finish the story there's really not much to do.

I know they are making updates on PC but was wondering if they will update console anytime soon because I know they stopped a while ago.

I just bought the all hero bundle I’m like prestige 3 lvl 3500 but my defenses are terrible and I have no range there are ppl who haven’t prestige’s with better towers then me what do I do to get my towers better for example I can’t beat chaos VIII by myself. What do I need to start grind or what do I need to do to get my stuff to have more range and damage

I wanted to ask if anyone else has run into this problem when launching the game and skipping the cutscene. I is triggered when skipping the cutscene only it seems.

I have tried a multitude of things:
reinstalling drivers
resetting caches
complete wipe of all DD2 files on my pc
Fresh install afterwards.

this seems to be a new problem I have been having. never had this issue before.

edit: i do want to note i do not get this error if i wait out the entire opening cutscene. its only when i skip

also specs are: 9800x3d and a 7900XTX

As an aspiring indie dev I’m always curious what could improve an already great game. I love the Action-Tower Defense genre, especially Dungeon Defenders. What do you guys think would be the biggest improvement for the series?

I only started playing recently now at 660 combat power with mage and saving up my dailys for a new character ive joined some other players and saw the cyborg buildings are really strong but i am wondering if the new features templar is just as strong he looks cool which one should be my 1st hero purchase from daily mission tokens?

I have rewatched this several times and I think the most obvious anwser is a boss destroyed it by spawning in, but it happened a couple seconds after the fight proper started, so that seems to be out.

Then I guessed he destroyed them with the attack, but then I am not sure because of how.. wonky the attack was?

1)It hit a couple minons and the mage that is right in front of me. OK fair enough. But then..

2) It somehow hit like 3 towers waaaay further back, also taking down the beam by proxy. Which is really odd, because:

3) It didnt hit me, and I am closer to him, and then it ALSO didnt destroy the lone fireball tower that happened to be the closest to boss out of the tower cluster

I just dont know man. I am missing something?

I am having an issue where DD2 crashes (no error message) before I can get to the title screen. The intro cutscene about etheria plays as normal in windowed, and then there is a short loading screen (black screen with small icon in the bottom right corner), and then the game simply shuts down. Ive found no info online besides a single post about DD1 having a similar issue. The game still works on console, but it lags a lot, so I wanted to play on steam instead. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I bought it on Switch 1 and it runs sort of choppy and laggy. I was sure it was likely because of the Switch itself. Im considering buying it on my PS5 if it runs smoothly. Does anyone have it on PS5 who can confirm that it runs much better than Switch 1?

Hello! As the title says, I used to play dd1 with my brother at home, I play on gforce now because it doesn't work so well on my computer. But for months with an update I can't enter any session (it doesn't appear in the browser) not even when my brother invites me on Steam :(

Has this happened to anyone else or is there a way to fix it?

Just wandering who the best heroes are bc I don’t have all them unlocked and not sure who’s good anymore last time I played mercenary was a viable play but idk anymore thanks for any help
