debian testing KDE

Updating my laptop (LXQT w/ labwc for wayland) and desktop (KDE) to testing and I'm running into a possible issue with my desktop. I update sources and ran update/upgrade but I have 662 packages that are not updating as per unmet dependencies. Can someone confirm that testing KDE is sitting with unmet dependencies or should I look at reloading my system? I ran both these systems with stable for a while then decided to update.

Thanks, ChCat

Did you run "apt upgrade" or "apt full-upgrade" because regular upgrade will not overwrite currently installed dependencies to new versions, but full-upgrade will. You also might want or need to consider adding the "--install-suggests" flag on your update/upgrade to help make sure each package has everything it needs

Here, this makes it more clear

I ran both and tried aptitude full-upgrade as well. I'll try install-suggests next time I'm in front of my PC. Thanks...

Dumb question, but have you tried a restart since? I have had some weirdness on occasion where I did need to do a restart, and then try to update/upgrade again post restart to get things to take effect.

To ensure I get everything possible updated as far as possible, my incremental process is: 1. Apt update 2. Apt upgrade 3. Apt full-upgrade --install-suggests --install-recommends 4. Apt autoremove 5. Restart 6. Repeat 1-5 again just to make sure everything is done

There are other flags for upgrade as well such as --fix-missing that may help you, but I've never needed to use them so I'm not sure about those. You might want to look up a list of all options/flags available for the apt and apt upgrade system and try to work through ones that may help.
