This is like mundane everyday stuff. If you finish your daily commute without something like this, you had a rare peaceful drive.

This is the kinda dumb shit that makes up like half of the videos on this sub. Just one idiot being an idiot to another idiot when all the second idiot had to do was just get out of the first idiot's way without actually losing anything in the process except about 10 feet of road

Same thought. Did watch the second half of this video where the second idiot decided to flag down the cops and get the first idiot pulled over for the most mundane thing ever? or is this fake?

or is this fake?

Honestly, given the one month old account posting it and the 500+ comments in less than an hour, you might be onto something there.

Also, this makes zero sense that the cop would ticket this woman based on this video but not also the biker.

Its a repost from a while ago. Probably just karma farming

It's not fake, it's just old as fuck. Like, over a decade old.

Are you honestly saying this account faked this video rather than just reposted it?

That's just not how it works. It's up to the driver whose lane is ending to merge safely, the biker maintained his lane the entire time. Now he's still an idiot who should've braked because he's on a motorcycle and she's got a 1-2ton death machine, but that doesn't mean he was in the wrong lawfully.

The biker committed no traffic violations. What are you on about?

But that would demonstrate wisdom, and lord knows we can't have that.

u/KFindar 11h ago

ya, it cost him way more time to do this, but then i guess it wouldn't get him internet points if he just behaved like a normal person

It's more "MMM EXCUSE ME, YOU BROKE A RULE!!!!" instead of actually dangerous stuff.

BUT I HAVE A CAMERA AND THEY ARE DUMB!

Also cuts out any actual interaction with the cops, who will surely be pissed once they see the footage of such a nothing "incident" they pulled her over for.

Huge waste of everyone's time.

Yeah it’s just a normal thing unfortunately. Driving is remarkably easy - it’s trying to remain emotionally calm that is often the issue.

This happens probably a few times a week where I live. Doesn’t even phase me, and I either speed up or let the person merge. Holding ground based on principal isn’t worth a life changing accident or inflating my insurance rates.

I drive a lot more calmer when this happens and I tell myself "is nothing personal they are just trying to get where they are going"

2

u/Zer0C00L321 6h ago

True story. This is like every 5 seconds of a drive for me. People suck nowadays.

4

u/Mysterious_Branch727 13h ago

Pretty much. I couldn't imagine running to the cops over this

1

u/rulerofdoggos 13h ago

So you would rather let people continue to act like they control the road? While this is minor it shows a behavior that could very well be dangerous and possibly result in someone losing their life

3

u/GardeniaInMyHair 12h ago

Yeah, the motorcyclist wasn't driving defensively. The first thing they teach you in drivers school is to keep calm and that it's not worth it to try to "correct" other drivers on the road. It just means a driver aggression problem and someone who has a need to be right rather than prioritizing safety for everyone. You can only control you.

Once you come across the remnants of an accident where road rage was the instigator and where one party's head is on the road under a blanket detached from their body, it sticks with you. No one's life is worth trying to duke it out with another driver making a mistake on the road in order to be "right" and to teach them a lesson.

Im not defending the motorcyclists actions. I am fully liscensed to ride bikes and i understand defensive driving. I was referring to the comment saying to not even bothering to report her ass

1

u/GardeniaInMyHair 10h ago

I pretty much think that poor drivers will get their due, because we have police patrolling the interstates near me. If someone looks to be driving drunk I will report, but if it’s someone solely poorly merging, and I don’t let them in, I would need to report myself for not letting them in also.

Why would I endanger myself to report someone over something this petty when the interstates have plenty of police during rush hour. It’s just road rage, no point in getting my pants in a twist over it. .

u/SergeantBender 13h ago

I've been hit as a cyclist by dickheads like in the video that think they're in the right. Thankfully I wasn't hurt but the lack of care because I wasn't hurt reinforces their shitty behavior until they do hurt someone.

1

u/rulerofdoggos 11h ago

Yeah, went down at 45mph because some dumbass thought the middle of the road was the perfect spot to park lol

1

u/horatiobanz 12h ago

Yes. Probably because I'm not a stupid child anymore and with age comes the realization that giving up 10 ft of road means literally nothing. Young people are fucking dumb and have nothing to live for anyways so they are willing to put their lives on the line to protect their safe space on the road from dumb drivers, and that is why they get into so many accidents. When you get older you realize none of this is worth the hassle of a potential accident let alone potential injury.

You probably didnt notice this because you have zero reading comprehension. The comment i replied to never once said anything about how the biker handled the situation, only mentioned reporting her behavior to the cops

This is not supposed to be the everyday mundane. I almost never see incompetence like this, never mind malicious incompetence.

1

u/Last-Hedgehog-6635 12h ago

Asleep on the train doesn’t count.

Your personal responsibility is to put a cage around yourself.

Til then I don’t believe you care about your life and therefore I shouldn’t either.

1

u/Intelligent-Luck-954 8h ago

And that kids is why you shouldn’t ride motorcycles.

Get a cage around your body when going  25mph or more.
