Mate the state of driving in this country I swear it does my head in.

Really? It's so tame. Like op just had to lazily change lanes.
Worse than this will happen 50 times a day in Asia, Africa, middle east, etc.

They want to do a u-turn and everyone else is just a NPC

but then why stop there on parallel with the traffic? Why not initiate the turn and stop mostly in the right-hand turn lane?

I have seen way too many clips like this and the entitlement never stops amazing me

Modern state of driving, people are too lazy to find the next street, so they make a turn- or u-turn- lane wherever they are. Just the other day someone did this while stopped at a 4-way. suddenly just started executing a three-pointer. no one seems to give a shit about behaving predictably anymore.

Much more common is when people are turning to the left in Australia (or UK; right in the US/EU) and you block all the traffic that wants to go straight. If there's space to pull over to the left, pull over first, slow, and then turn.

Sometimes what you’re witnessing is a domestic dispute being played out. Driver is heading calmly straight ahead when passenger yells “No! It’s right. Turn Right!”
Driver slams on brakes, then says “Nah, it’s another block”. Passenger disputes. Minor argument breaks out, impeding all progress.
Moral of the story is: drive as you intended and don’t pay heed to instructions yelled in anger or haste.

You guys understand literally everyone in the world (that would be normal Earth and not British Earth) were waiting for a head on collision because this guy was trying to make a left turn from the right lane in normal Earth-side driving?

Actually, driving on the left is the correct side. Knights did it back in the day, so they could drawer their sword with their right hand

Knights may beat archers at the flank but the world has since invented Apache Helicopters and decided right side was better.
Not sure what your next move is but your nation is also an Apache-based one, Brexit solved nothing.

Ever heard of this French guy called Napoleon? His attitude to life was "my way, or the highway", and he forced all French colonies to switch to the right-hand (incorrect) side.

France has since developed their own independent, closed-loop nuclear engineering ecosystem and has also moved past pre-industrial-era empire models.
Nice tridents, buddy.
Turns out your royals needed more time in Civic Planning classes and less time on Epstein-Island.
