Pregunta Cellphone strength antenna

Can anyone recommend some kind of antenna that can boost cellular Internet strength?

Cuba bans most signal-boosting antennas and repeaters for two main reasons:

Official reason: The government says they interfere with ETECSA’s official cell towers and make service worse for everyone.

Main underlying reason: The state wants tight control over internet and communications. ETECSA is the only legal provider, and the government does not want people independently improving their connection or bypassing official networks.

That’s why homemade or imported boosters are treated as illegal, even though many Cubans use them because official coverage is often poor.

Your best bet: Starlink...if you can get one into the country.

This is true, but per my experience in visiting, and stories from other Americans who have tried getting Starlink in, you are more likely to have it confiscated on arrival.

I would not risk trying to bring a Starlink system in. Supposedly there are people who have systems already who will charge you to use their service, like an internet cafe, no idea what that costs, but it shows how enterprising people can be.

Yeah can confirm that. It costs about 30usd monthly but it can vary with how much speed you want to get.

Hay antenas que se venden en Facebook y en revolico pon antenas para telf y veras un estilo de rústico expetimento pero funciona. Lo otro Es buscar un nodo de red Alguien que tenga un starlink. Tu sabes que en cuba vas encontrar hasta fruta del dragon 🐉 pero todo tiene su precio y si preguntas por Facebook mejor.

You can buy a 4G modem that will pick up the ETECSA cellular signal and repeat it as Wi-Fi. Smaller and easier to get in than a Starlink. And add an extra antenna to that if you need to. All this stuff is for sale inside Cuba as well, but at inflated prices.
