Showcase Opus 5.5 showcase: a factory floor layout and material flow optimizer tool

Hello all! This was a fun weekend project that I started last Friday from literally a 5-sentence prompt (and a well-structured AGENTS.md file) using Opus 5.5 at Max reasoning. I honestly didn’t think it would get as far as it did but 90% of the application was built within the first 30-minutes. The rest of my weekend was spent tweaking and security hardening.

Needless to say, the goal was to build an application to help with factory equipment layout routing and material flow optimization. I had three goals in mind:

\- Ease-of-use for non-MCAD proficient users (like myself)
\- Shareable renderings (that also comply with some facsimile of the US National CAD Standards)
\- configurable optimizer (via objective weights, such as material-flow cost, adjacency preferences, aisle access, etc)

Can take the layout tool for a spin (note that the optimizer functionality is limited to authenticated users).

I was just vibe coding apps, landing page, web app, and etc. I wonder what the cause of this? I'm in PH and obviously it is supported. I don't have any apps that harmful. I just wanna enjoy. I already sent an appeal.

Showcase Opus 5.5 can translate pretty much any retro game in about 4 hours.

Pics related are a couple of GBC games I had Opus 5.5 translate. Each used about 7% of my weekly limit on the $100 plan. They're both very playable and the scripts read much better than I'd have expected. I've now done this about 5 different times and the results are always solid. Works on original hardware with a flashcart.

You can do it with literally anything as long as there's a decent emulator out there that you can set up for agent use. I'm serious, any game. The last screenshot is an RPG for a series of chinese electronic dictionaries.

This works, it's consistent, the results are really solid, and it's cheap to do. If there's anything you've ever been curious about playing that there's never been a fan translation project for, Opus can get it in your language with a nice variable width font and everything. Not as good as a really dedicated fan translation (you're definitely going to lose some nuance and some jokes) but man it's so cool to actually be able to play anything and understand what's going on.

Pictured games are:

Crazy Tycoon (Feng Kuang Da Fu Weng) for Game Boy Color - A really nice looking clone of Momotaro Dentetsu. I've played a 5 year game all the way through on original hardware without any major bugs.

New Investiture of the Gods (Xin Feng Shen Bang) for Game Boy Color - A turn based RPG from Taiwan, it's an update on one of those 16th century Chinese novels. I've played a few towns into this and it's pretty cool. It's got kind of a shonen structure so far, with the characters being wandering Taoist exorcists.

Both of these were translated using this emulator, a customized version of Sameboy I put together for this.

Last game is a WIP, I don't have all the tooling kinks worked out. It's a BBK e-dictionary game. 伏魔记 is the title, I don't know much about it, but it kicked off a wave of RPGs for e-dictionaries in ~2004. I've always been really interested in games that never, ever would get translated, so it's been cool to just be able to throw a couple bucks at it and get a whole playable translation.

Showcase Experimented with GPU-accelerated optical file transfer. Obtained >2 MB/s on a 1080@60 phone camera.

I experimented for a couple weeks with optical file transfer. I felt frustrated by animated QR because it seemed wrong for it's job (optical transfer from camera to screen). As a result, I designed my own optical file transfer system designed for screen-to-camera communication. We achieve >2MB/s with GPU acceleration on native. more importantly, we discovered how to defeat rolling shutter; signed directional pilot frames that signal how much of the past and future frame overlaps. As a result, our high speeds were consistent rather than oscillating. Thoughts? Any ways I can improve?

Tips Suspended, and Verify my age doesn’t work :/

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello! While I was asleep Claude suspended my account because they thought I was underage (I’m not, I’m 18) and for some reason when I request a review and press verify my age it doesn’t let me (I tried on multiple devices), anyone know what I can do? Since I can’t verify my age I can’t get my account back at all.
I’m in a couple fantasy role play servers on discord and recently I asked Claude to grammar check my character description. I assume it read my characters age, he is 17, and I’m pretty sure it confused that to be my real age.

Showcase I expanded zettelkasten-mcp into a 19-tool MCP server for Claude

I forked Peter J. Herrel's [zettelkasten-mcp](https://github.com/entanglr/zettelkasten-mcp) and built it into [slipbox-mcp](https://github.com/jamesfishwick/slipbox-mcp), an MCP server for working with a Zettelkasten through Claude, building on Peter's note types (fleeting, literature, permanent, structure, and hub), semantic links, Markdown-plus-SQLite storage, and graph-analysis tools.

Slipbox has 19 tools for notes, typed links, search, graph analysis, and cluster maintenance, plus workflows for creating structure notes from detected clusters. I upgraded search to SQLite FTS5 with BM25 ranking, built a CLI and file watcher, and added MCP prompts and standalone skills for note creation, exploration, synthesis, and analysis.

Claude searches your notes, writes a permanent note from a conversation, links it to related ideas, then checks for clusters and suggests a structure note at session start.

Notes are plain Markdown with YAML frontmatter, and I made [Slipbox Semantic Graph](https://github.com/jamesfishwick/obsidian-slipbox-graph) to visualize their typed links in Obsidian. You can inspect or edit those files in any text editor.

There's a lot of test coverage here: about 440 tests, tool-contract checks, and LLM evaluations.

Would cluster maintenance, typed links, or note creation fit your Claude setup?

Question Upgrading to teams deletes Claude Code projects??!

I'm new here so I'm sure that you guys see this same post all the time.. however, there's a good reason for it. It's terrible

What the title says: upgrading from Max to teams. ZERO Claude Code migration, zero warnings..Why not just prompt users with active projects before they switch?

I even asked in a chat if there was anything I needed to look out for.. nothing.

I know that the Claude MD is supposed to be on my desktop.. even still. Bad form Claude.

Any advice about recovery?

Question Claude identity verification stuck on “Verification expired” for a week — “Try again” does nothing

I’m currently stuck on the identity verification process.

During my first verification attempt, I was asked to provide two pieces of valid identity information/documents, but I was only able to submit one, so the verification was never completed.

Later, I was able to return to the verification page, but now it only shows:

“Verification expired. Your earlier identity verification wasn’t completed and has expired. Try again to continue.”

The problem is that when I click “Try again,” nothing happens. I can’t restart the verification process at all.

I’ve already submitted the support form several times, but nothing has changed. It has been about a week now and the verification is still stuck in exactly the same state.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

In particular, I’m wondering:

  • Did the verification eventually reset by itself after waiting longer?
  • If so, how long did it take?
  • Or did support have to manually reset the verification process for you?

I’m mainly trying to figure out whether waiting another week or two is likely to solve this technical issue, or whether the account will remain stuck until someone manually resets it.

Question What does your personal dashboard look like? Show me what you built with Claude

run a small web design side business next to school and I'm drowning in leads, follow-ups and appointments.

I already built a dashboard with Claude inside Obsidian. It works, but I never open it. So before I build the next thing, I want to see what actually sticks for other people.

- What do you use every day to see what's next? Web app, Notion, something custom?

- If you built it with Claude: how is it set up? Where does the data live, and how does Claude update it?

- What did you build first that you stopped using, and why?

- How do you get reminded? Push notifications, calendar, something else?

Screenshots would be awesome. I'll share what I end up building.

Showcase First time sharing an output from claude. Brand health skill combines OpenSEO, Consensus, Last30Days, and predictions models.

I've never posted or published any of my work anywhere but I have been building with claude some things for friends, family, my personal ecomm shop, and free lance work here and there for fun. I built a claude code skill called "brand health" which is a workflow that combines OpenSEO, Consensus mcp, Last30days, and downloaded prediction models to create a brand health skill that really digs deep into how a brands online presence is viewed. I ran it for a couple of businesses around me and they have been blown away with the amount of detailed insights it uncovers. I was surprised too. These guys own their brands and not one of them has said that the findings were wrong. So i decided to test out claude 5.5 to make a promo video based on the reports we've done and how conversations usually go with people i tell them about the skill. This is what it made. Not sure how you guys will react to this since everyone around me are "normies" that think im an alien when i talk about these things.

Everything in the video is based on real data, transcripts, and conversations with real businesses. I was blown away by this and thought it was worth sharing. I do not have a website and this is not a SaaS. Just a really expensive hobby that i charge for when i feel like the project will help me acquire a new skill or knowledge.

I wanted a hype teaser for CAP (Claude Agent Platform, that I build for myself better productivity), so I just described it: "Make me a ~60-second motion graphic showing all the platform's features, coming-soon style, with epic music." That was basically it.

Its awesome 😱

Discussion I used Claude to help build a 1v1 Spelling Bee game

I've been experimenting with Claude while building small web games, and one of the projects turned into SpellBee Duel - a 1v1 competitive spelling/word game.

The idea is pretty simple: instead of playing a word game alone, you go head-to-head with another player and try to outscore them.

I used Claude throughout the development process for things like:

  • brainstorming game mechanics
  • coding and debugging
  • improving the game flow/UI
  • working through edge cases in the word validation and scoring

The result is here:

https://spellbeeduel.com/

If you try it, I'd especially like feedback on the gameplay and what would make the 1v1 experience more addictive/competitive.

Question Am I managing 200k context windows wrong ?

Please can anyone advise - is there a better way to?
I watched my new hero Matt Pocock tell me about using a context window of 200k max and it was a revelation.

But I'm starting a new window all the time and it's a pain on the ass on long projects.

Can anyone advise of a better way to work?

Thanks

Discussion Cloud Based is not worth it

So, I was coming close to my limit and thought, I can't leave it here and i decided to move the project to GitHub. My oh my... what a $2 worth of credits gone. Very small yes, but the work was a joke.

Settings up GitHub, done it 3 times before, setting this one up just wasn't working, back and forth with Claude trying to sort it out. I believe this was GitHubs problem, then eventually got it working after 2 hours or working on it. (that is already a joke)

Now my whole organizing and methods have stopped, I have to change how I work, I had a really good flow and now it's gone.

I now have to add 4/5 extra steps to my development. I have to push/pull the origin (not used to this shit to begin with) but that's fine, it doesn't always pull the project, so I have to wait before I can test my app. Uploading image references, ideas, I can no longer upload up to 20 images, I'm limited to 5... that's a big difference.

I now have to 9 times out of 10, open the project file on my PC, open claude terminal in there and do some prompt on there to backup the file to my PC.... I swear that's what GitHub app is supposed to do...

And just for the shits and giggles of it, I no longer get told what Claude is doing

That's all I get, running a command, before, I was getting 10 to 15 agents, now it doesn't show any agents working... what a fucking waste, is it worth an extra $250 in credits, no not really, if you have more "Know-How" than me, then lucky you, but I'm not that familiair will all this different stuff and it throws me off my path, hopefully when the $250 is finished, I will bring the project off the cloud and carry on as I was.

Showcase Your AI games look generic because of one mistake

Thumbnail youtube.com
0 Upvotes

If you ask AI for a genre, you get the average of that genre. That's why so many AI games look the same.

For my last game I started with one sentence, a feeling instead of a genre: "a cabin, hot tea, and a blizzard outside the window." AI built everything (ChatGPT for references, Claude in Blender, Codex in Unreal), and I only made the decisions, in 4 steps:

  1. **Goal:** one sentence. A feeling, not a genre.

  2. **Reference:** make the feeling visible. Skip images that are pretty but not yours, and keep the happy accidents. ChatGPT randomly added a tiny red figure, and he became my main character.

  3. **Rules:** turn the feeling into rules AI can follow, like "soft, never sharp" or "only shelter is warm".

  4. **Check:** every decision has to pass one question: "does this feel like sitting in a cabin with tea, watching the storm?"

When the first trees came out too sharp, I didn't have to explain anything. My rule says soft, so everything got rounder.

What's your trick for avoiding the generic AI look?

Discussion Are Claude's agents as useless for anyone else as they are for me?

I mostly use Claude for fundamental analysis of equities and broader macroeconomic research. I just banned Claude from spawning agents because they have been beyond useless this week.

I made a change to my valuation skill and asked Opus 5.5 to rerun the valuation with three specific companies. We already have the annual reports and financial disclosures for all of those companies on file and saved.

I come back after 109 minutes. It's still working. I stop it and ask what the fuck is going on. Initially it tells me that there must have been an outage in the session, so I ask it to audit the time stamps.

"Yes. The session logs carry timestamps, and they show my earlier answer was wrong.

  • 15:30–15:52, 22 minutes: my work. The database export, the primary-source fetching, the engine runs, the three notes and the three validated records were all done in this window. The sourcing I apologised for took a few minutes of it.
  • 15:52–17:19, 87 minutes: the review agent. It ran the whole time. The "rejected" message only came back when you stopped it.

The 109 minutes add up to your 1 hour 49.

On your earlier question: the agent wasn't hunting for primary sources. It made one web fetch, the ONS CPI series, to deflate James Halstead's profits. The rest was 58 calls re-running the engine and re-deriving figures. It never wrote its findings file, so those 87 minutes produced nothing usable."
