I was surprised to see Texas Republicans buying advertising space during the Bears-Jets game today. Are they that desperate?

They are almost ready to pour Halsted and could have this open for traffic in 45 days if they stay on schedule.

I've been trying to do some research on who to vote no on retaining but there's not much info / details about the candidates that is easy to find (there should be though).

I've seen people say vote no to retaining Teresa Molina-Gonzalez due to her giving electronic home monitoring to a man who had been arrested 71 times and later set a woman on fire on the CTA.

Is there anyone else who is specifically bad that you think people should vote no on?

If judges fail to secure 60% "yes" votes, they would be removed from the bench.

Just a little bit ago I was woken up to the sounds of screeching tires and a smash. They crashed into their follow car then jumped into that one and booked. The police car chasing them did not catch them.

The smashed Kia is currently sitting there making a horrible noise from the wipers going back and forth and the cop out there won't turn them off so I can go back to sleep.

We moved to Chicago about 2 months ago and have been surprised by how many mosquitoes there are. Is this pretty normal here, or has this year been especially bad?

We’re in a tall apartment complex and still see giant swarms outside our windows particularly in the evening. We also have a terrace on the 6th floor, and this morning the weather was beautiful with a nice breeze, so I thought it would be a good time to sit outside. I stepped out and almost immediately had several mosquitoes on my leg, so that plan ended quickly.

For those who have lived here a while, is this just part of Chicago summers/fall? Do they usually get this bad?
