Dev/Admin Responded “Close post” x is broken in today’s iPadOS app update

You actually deployed this without testing one of the main features?

Hey folks! We're investigating this issue. I'll share an update as soon as I can!

I am having this issue as well. No way to x out and the icon that is in the upper left corner does nothing when you click it.

I’m having the same issue however, I hadn’t installed the update yet. After installing, the problem continued. I did find that if i swiped up and hit the Reddit icon on my bar, the page would reopen at the same spot but X had reappeared. After a while though that too failed to bring the X back. A restart of my iPad temporarily brought me back to X appearing when closed and reopened. And then it didn’t. Very frustrating. I might have to go read a book.

An obvious, repeatable corruption of a function that has been working for years, and no one noticed it in pre-release testing before the update went out. Now it’s taken days, and no fix or workaround is available, not even a rollback procedure.

Very disappointed in change control and QA for production updates.

Amateur hour.

Looks like the main menu icon is hiding the close post icon?

Same issue, but I noticed if I click on a link in the post, then go back, the X reappears.
