Players Only [Jomboy Media] Bryan Woo pulled a kid out of the crowd and let him toss a couple pitches in the bullpen

That last pitch while a nice frame job by Woo would’ve gotten by a few players. I say get the little righty in there. Can’t be any worse than it currently is.
That being said that kid is going to be a fan of Woo for life. I’m 45 and super jealous.

I’m less than a week from 27, Mariners are my AL team. Not only am I jealous but so happy this kid is going to have a memory for life.
I haven’t played baseball since 8; or softball since 17. But I still have the catcher’s mitt Darren Daulton signed for me in “special ink” (silver sharpies bc my mitt was black) after hearing my brother make fun of me bc only boys played baseball.
Even though he was a Philly and Marlin, him signing it and telling me I could be a catcher no matter what anyone said meant the entire world to a very young girl. It’s a memory I will never forget, and a prized possession. RIP Dutch

Do you want this 7 year old kid on the mound or Bazardo?
24
u/Illustrious_Name_441 Seattle Mariners 23d ago
Tough choice. I'd take the kid
4
u/jiminak Seattle Mariners 23d ago
I thought the choice was whether the kid was on the mound, or the kid was on Bazardo.
6
u/WASD_click Seattle Mariners 23d ago
That's a perfect idea. If the kid is riding Bazardo's shoulders, he can get the benefit of an extra bit of height and a longer stride toward the plate.
We should have Dan test the Voltron pitching strategy immediately.

I had an employee of the Pilates studio I went to do this for me and my firstborn when I was in the absolute hell of postpartum depression. She’d call to make sure we came every week. I barely moved at that point in life, but I somehow went. She’d adore and play with my baby while I did Pilates for an hour.
I got my mental and physical strength back thanks to her and she became a life long friend and Auntie to my child. That’s what humanity and this short life should be about.

There's a restaurant we go to pretty frequently, and became pretty close with one of the waitresses. We came in one day and she was on one of those knee scooters for when you have a broken foot. She saw our daughter and said "I'm gonna take her for a drive!" and out our daughter on the scooter and pushed her through the restaurant and kitchen. Thankfully she was on the tail end of a broken foot so the scooter was more "as needed" at that point.
