We are seeing a dramatic increase in the number of posts and comments in our subreddit and our current team is not big enough to handle the workload. We are receiving lots of complaints of unanswered mail and long wait times for post approval. We want to correct that and give everyone a better user experience.

We are looking to on board 5 to 7 new moderators. If you are interested please comment or contact us via modmail. I made a similar post a few weeks ago and many of you were interested but unfortunately we were only looking to fill one position at that time, so we had to close our search. If you are still interested, please reach out. Bonus, if you have any experience with apps/bots.

Valid. Calling someone Indian/CIA/Jamat bot and many more things to try and delegitimize them just bc they disagree or didn't get their way is also a a favorite tactic of very many armchair social justice warriors. If I had the patience, I would list all the hateful things, doxxing attempts, threats of physical harm which included sexual assault might I add, I've received from the wonderful users of this subreddit in my very long tenure as mod. I try to have a sense of humor about these things instead of letting it get to me and hope that the users are intelligent enough to understand that.

The problem is that you are looking at it from your personal perspective. I get all the bots attack and death threat at all, sadly it's all too common across the world.

The problem is making light and poke fund of ongoing violence and violations around border not too mention killing of our rivers. I am not even going to touch the political interference.

Majority of sufferers aren't those extremist clowns.

Subjective opinions are subjective. You are not in my shoes, how I deal with harrassment from Bangladeshi men is of no concern to anyone but me. I apologize if my terms seem insensitive but I am not here to make everyone feel comfortable. My flair has gotten conversations going about India, sexual harrassment, sarcasm, and more which aligns with my goal to make people think and converse.

Mod হবার পর সে কাউকে ব্যান করলে বা কারো পোস্ট/কমেন্ট remove করলে সেটা যে তার personal preference থেকে করা না সেটা কি বাকি mod রা যাচাই করে? Mod এর political/religious believe এর বিরুদ্ধে গেলে সে যে ক্ষমতার অপব্যাবহার করবে না সেটা কিভাবে নিশ্চিত করা হয়? প্রশ্নগুলো করা কারন এখানে কিছু user দের mod হতে চাওয়ার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করতে দেখছি যারা বিশেষ দলের প্রতি সহানুভূতিশীল বা বিশেষ দলের প্রতি আক্রমণাত্মক বা হুজুরদের কুকর্মের কথা বললে ক্ষেপে যায় এমন।

Thank you for your questions. We are a progressive, leftist space that is pro-lgbt, pro-minority, pro-adivashi and pro-women. We expect mods to leave behind their personal opinions to work with the content that is meant to represent this space, even if they don't agree with it. Mods are allowed to approve their own posts. Each mod is put on a probationary period through out which they are trained and allowed to work on their own. At any point, if they stop being comfortable with the work or approve/remove content based on personal opinions that are not representative of the goals of this subreddit, they lose their moderator position. All mod activity is visible to each other so you cannot hide what you do.

If you had written something substantial instead of saying the generic "we should do the thing that is good" and given context to the site you linked, this would have been approved.
