Best memories from/favorite things about the Coliseum?
Obviously it got a lot of hate from the national media, but for many including myself, the Coliseum had a special place in my baseball experience. My first game ever was there, I remember getting a promo Mark McGuire wood bat, handing out some sort of team leaflet, and sitting way up top. I also remember cheap dates during weekday day games where a behind home plate seat could be had for $40. I miss $2 hot dogs and cheap beer while watching the big three of Zito, Hudson, and Mulder on a nice August evening. While I understand the move and am not as negative about it as many fans, I still think it makes sense to look back at those times and appreciate them. What are some of your best memories or favorite things about the A's former home?

A’s access during the 2019 run was wild. Half off ALL concessions and you could work and bring
friends for free. You’d give them your ticket and then get in yourself via the treehouse pass.
I drank like very top shelf liquor for the first time at the Coliseum of all places because of half off.

When I was a kid, Rick Monday tossing me a ball in the bleachers while they were out doing warmups. Then signing the ball when I threw it back with a purple ink pen!

My first baseball game when I was in tee-ball in kindergarten. Our 4th grade class field trip to a game. Annual Father's Day gift to my dad because he's my baseball buddy. The time my dad bought opening day tickets and didn't understand that by refreshing the website over and over, the seats were getting less good and we ended up being behind the foul pole in right field, which became an ongoing joke. The time my dad and I convinced my very pregnant sister to come to a game with us and she was worried about getting too hot, but I planned the seats perfectly for the time of year and we were in the shade by first pitch, so she was comfortable. The time I used a system outage at work as an opportunity to buy tickets for a friend and me to go to game 162 because she had never been to an A's game before and it was the most epic comeback win ever to beat the Rangers and win the AL West (my voice and hearing were jacked for like 3 days - it was the loudest game I have ever been to). The time I won a contest and got to throw out the first pitch and got to bring my dad out on the field with me while I did. I had friends hanging out a suite window in center field like jackasses and some other friends field level being loud as hell for me too.
There are too many good memories at the coliseum. I miss it so much.

My dad's team at work would go as a group outing to games when I was super young. I remember them eating peanuts and just throwing them on the ground and when it got late my dad would clear out a space on the seats for me to fall asleep. I was maybe 4 years old, and this was the mid 80s.
