Hi
Is Arduino IDE accepting other cards ESP32 but not branded arduino, for dev and compilation +injection ?
Thx

The Arduino IDE works via "Cores". These cores contain all the tools needed for code to get compiled for specific chips and/or boards along with stuff like a library that ensures your standard Arduino commands like digitalWrite(3,HIGH); works.
Over the years the community and even a few manufacturers like Espressif have made cores for a lot of different chips. ESP32, RP2040 (Raspberry pi pico), AVR-Dx, ATTiny, STM32, RT1060 (Teensy), list goes on. These can be loaded into the Arduino IDE and then you can use the IDE for them.

It certainly handles esp32 and many other microcontrollers such as RPI2040, etc!
Regardless of ‘brand’

Sure, if there is a core available for it.
You add in "cores" via the manage boards function. Often you will need to paste a URL into a search path in the settings. This URL allows the IDE to find the various boards supported.
Actually the IDE doesn't do all that much. It is basically a text editor with some functions (e.g. upload) that just runs some programs specified in the "core" that is active when you select a target (e.g. Uno R3) when you select it.

yes, you can give it board packages like esp32 bluepad32 stm32 etc. if you want to use a lot of different board i suggest you platformIO on vscode it is easier
