Look what I made! Maybe someone will find my 'Cut-to-Length Jumper Wire Organizer' 3D printing project useful

Neat! Reminds me of a fly fishing fly case

It looks like you could put the wires right next to each other instead of having to space them like that.

I designed the spacing like this on purpose so it's easy to cut with side cutters.

But can you put the wires right next to each other?

I added the HighDensity version under the same link today.

go somewhere in the middle; match the breadboard pin spacing (standard DIP spacing) 2.54 mm (0.1 inches)

Thanks for the advice, I made a model like this

I like the long ones as well as the short ones.

Now that looks clean !

That's going above and beyond than what I asked. Thanks for that.

I can see using this inside project boxes to keep things neat and tighty. More so if the box is clear or has a window.

Saving for when I get a 3d printer

Can you please make a model that will be like this? So we can decide whether to put it next to each other or skip one?

Sure. I'll print the model as shown in the picture, check it, and add it.

Already printing this.

Yes, That's exactly it. Glad that my precise drawing was enough.

This is super cool.

If you added a way to slot in some pcb headers so you could push them into the breadboard and then route cables against the breadboard, that would be super cool.

I dig this a lot but am not a huge fan of wires flying up at me.

Why not just use solid core wire?

I do, but still like organized cables. A hole at each side of this i could push a header pin through and snap it into the breadboard is a simple and neat addition that would make this better, i think.

Fair enough, i was just curious : )

I have been searching for wire comb for jumper wire like the ones from ATX power cables. This seems the closes one yet.

In case anyone wants to customize it for their own needs (different number of wires, height, cable diameter, etc.), I made a parametric model.
