Look what I made! My first project - a year later!
[Original project from 1 year ago ](https://www.reddit.com/r/arduino/s/e4o4xJrx19)
Hello everyone, I'm here to give you updates on my first project. Here are all the things I've added/changed:
I replaced the board with an Arduino nano model with a USB-C port
I added LEDs to the missiles on the left arm.
I replaced the power source with a 22.5W 20000mAh power bank.
I replaced the shoulder-mounted missiles (they were malfunctioning a lot) with a "trio of mini missiles" (they're just really cool LEDs) on the right arm.
I took it to a ton of events and the structural parts are pretty worn out, so there are a lot of minor patches and updates here.
I integrated the eye LEDs into the code (before they were independent).
I greatly increased the opening angle of the helmet.
I want to make a new suit of armor to replace this one, but I'll need to save up a lot of money. Stay tuned for future updates!

You sir, need a 3D printer

Agreed. Even a $200 one would unlock a million doors with this much creativity/ambition

$200 3d printer
$1000 in filaments

Doubt it. This whole thing is probably less than 7 kg of filament. Another hundred bucks or so.

If you can do this with a Cardboard, Imagine, what you can do with a 3D printer.Β

I always think about that, but around here 3D printers are terribly expensive

Oh.... I'd liked to help you... But it's expensive even for a gift.... πππ

You'd be surprised how many times I've heard that. I was grateful to know that such generous people exist

I need well-lit places to see it; if it's too dark, I only see two white stripes. But in general, it's quite clear

After a year, Bro still doesn't have a 3D printer π

The USB-C swap is smart. Those old micro ports always crap out eventually. (22.5W power bank is overkill but I respect it)

I tried using a more powerful battery to see if it would solve some of the low voltage issues, and it helped a bit, but not completely

So great!
I remember giving this a "Mod's Choice" a year ago!
and it probably costs less than the original: π

MUCH lessπ It really cost $500, I think. The conversation is kind of strange because of inflation; it took me over a year to make.

Someone owes you a 3d printer and a tears worth of filament! You made an amazing suit with what you could, can't imagine what you would make with all the right tools and supplies.

Not bad but you can do better bro. Hide them wires to start.
You should check out Blender and make a model. Check out 3d printers, there's some cool new multifilament ones but you can always start with a cheap fast one. I'm sure there's also some 3d models out there on the web that you can tinker around with either free or paid to not waste too much time that could be used in redesigning the interior of the suit.
You have many paths that you can venture into, just gotta choose and stick with it. Good luck.
