Ready for the Release of Sabrina the Teenage Witch this Wednesday?
That is my Question
Sabrina The Teenage Witch releases this Wednesday who's getting a copy?
I know I am a big fan of writer Corinna Bechko well the stuff I have read mostly STAR WARS: Legacy & her arc on Savage Hulk though that was with Gabriel Hardman as co writer & artist but still she kinda underrated writer will be interesting reading her writing solo
From the preview its a mix between Classic Sabrina & Chilling Adventure of Sabrina with a bit of the sitcom going for that approach that combines elements of characters whole history
But thats who's ready?

Comics planned and not published.
galleryWith the announcement that Afterlife with Archie is (supposedly) getting it's eleventh issue, I wanted to look at other planned issues that were never released.
Super Duck 2-4: Reviving their old character, they ended up only releasing the first issue, despite the other three being solicited. I don't know much about the character, but it's a shame that it wasn't released.
and 3. Little Sabrina and Little Josie: Intended to follow Little Archie, neither seemed to have been published, despite Little Archie promoting these and setting up plot points for them with the yellow and blue kittens. This is especially odd since Archie was doing fairly fine at the time.
and 5. Riverdale 13 and 14: I haven't watched Riverdale yet, and might never, but it feels incomplete if I ever do and I'll never get to see these comics; and it's always amusing to read comics that tie into tv shows.
Archie and Josie: It seemed after Archie and Sabrina and Archie and Katy, there would be an Archie and Josie arc; as we know, this wasn't ever made and the ongoing series was cancelled. Not only was this annoying due to being advertised, it also pretty much closed the door on anything introduced in that series, like Reggie's dad being missing.
Vampironica New Blood: Most Archie Horror comics end with a hint at a sequel, some are more obvious than others, but Vampironica New Blood was originally supposed to be a five issue series, and despite probably going to have the same ending, it feels ultra-rushed due to this. I will admit, maybe this is mandella, but I swear I saw one of the covers for issue 1 say 1 (of 5).
Diary of A High School Princess: They released a Betty book, which was a Diary of a Wimpy Kid/Dork Diaries send-up, and announced a Veronica version, which never came to be.
The Occult World of Sabrina: The show didn't have a definite ending, and while some parts seemed to be continued on Riverdale, it's still not the same.
Any other comics that were supposed to be released and weren't? I know the final few digests were solicited, and never released; I expected those comics to come out, especially a Halloween story about Vader, but they haven't seemed to happen as of yet.

Reading old comics is interesting. Sharper endings, wildly dated social norms, and pure glam.

Some Betty & Reggie stories: Admiration Society (1963) & Shutterbug Blues (1993) + single comics
gallerySharing a classic Reg and Bets story, Admiration Society. And then another Reggie and Betty-centric story: Shutterbug Blues, which I find bizarre all around.
I also included a few "pin ups" that featured Betty and Reggie.

Time Capsule: Archie Comics with October 1971 cover date
galleryI never realized how many different Archie titles existed until I challenged myself to track down as many as I could from a single month. It's been fun and nostalgic being able to hold and read them all.

Has Archie comics ever had a character that was based off a real person that the "character" be controversial now?

I want an Archie story where nobody realizes Sabrina is a witch except Jughead
Not because Jughead investigates anything. He just notices impossible stuff happening around Sabrina and accepts it because none of it interferes with his lunch
Meanwhile Betty and Veronica spend the whole story trying to figure out why objects keep moving on their own while Archie somehow makes everything worse
What unnecessary Archie and Sabrina team up would you read?

What would you do with these?
My childhood home recently sold and I just received my old Archies in the mail from my Dad.
These Digests and Double Digests are from 1998 and 1999 mostly. There are about 120-130.
I obviously don’t want to throw them away but I’m not sure what to do with them.

What is Your Idea for a Archie Comic Crossover Miniseries?
That is my Question
Archie has had a bunch of Crossovers & that tradition continues this month with Archie vs. the Terminator comic miniseries
So with that in mind what do you think would be a cool idea for comic crossover miniseries?
I have four
My first idea would be another crossover between Archie & and the Punisher written by current Punisher writer Benjamin Percy & Chilling Adventure of Sabrina artist Robert Hack would be Remake & extended version of original story
My 2nd idea since Archie is at Oni Press would be a Team-up with Scott Pilgrim just imagine it
3rd one would be Oni Press Archie meeting IDW Ninja Turtles for new crossover between the two written by Erik Burnham with art by Drew Moss with Archie Ninja Turtles artist Chris Allen on Covers
My 4th is simple Archie meets BEN TEN
But thats me what are your Ideas for Archie Comic Crossovers?

Mr. Lodge is an idiot. One of the dumbest legal dramas I've ever read, from Life With Archie #138
galleryMr. Lodge gets INDICTED. Archie gets called in as a witness from the audience. Mr. Lodge makes no move to "defend" himself from this crazy lawyer just making up random claims of a crime that apparently never existed, but was enough to get INDICTED for. Mr. Lodge doesn't once say "It was donated land for a camp".
Mr. Lodge is a moron.
If you aren't familiar
>Being indicted means a person has been formally charged with a serious crime after a grand jury reviews the evidence and decides there is enough proof to move forward with a trial
It's not a small thing to indict Mr. Lodge for... bribery charges?

What’s the pettiest thing anyone in Archie Comics has ever done?
Forget the murders and zombie apocalypses for a second. I’m talking classic Riverdale nonsense
Archie Betty Veronica Reggie and Cheryl have spent decades lying scheming sabotaging dates and starting entire wars over stuff that could’ve been solved with one normal conversation
There have to be some absolutely insane examples buried in the older comics
What’s the one that made you think yeah this person is actually terrible?

Josie and the Pussycats: Rock On! (Coming November 11)
galleryDo you all remember Rock Candi, the all-girl rock band that Holly G! created in 2023? Due to Archie Comics' reduced output, not much was done with them, but they're getting a new story on November 11. Yeah, it's ostensibly a Josie story, but Rock Candi is involved and arguably the focus.
But that's not all. Remember when Jamie Lee Rotante had Betty and Veronica lead an all-girl biker gang from 2017 to 2018 in an "alt-world" maxiseries? Well, it might not be alt-world for much longer, because she's writing the new story (drawn by Holly G!) and bringing the Vixens into normal old Archieverse continuity.
As someone that loves both Rock Candi and the Vixens, I'm excited about this and even preordered Veronica Fish's variant (which straight-up renames the issue to Betty & Veronica: Vixens), though it concerns me that we haven't gotten a title or a confirmation of the page count.
Previews from Holly and Jamie's Instagrams:
I've attached the main cover and alternate cover of the new issue, Holly's sketch of Jola Kitt, the main cover of the original "Rock Candi" story, Holly's alternate cover, the original story itself, Jola's profile, and a sample of covers from the original Vixens maxiseries.

Any comics, graphic novels, or anything else not listed on the solicitations/comics.org?
A few years ago to make sure I wasn't missing anything from the "New Riverdale/Archie Forever" series, I went through their solicitations on their websites to check what there was. And, as I'm sure other people have done before, I later went through comics.org to look and see what they had published, and noticed things missing.
For example, graphic novels like the Riverdale Diaries or Betty and Veronica: The Bond of Friendship do not show up at all on comics.org. Neither would something web-original, like Big Ethel or Bite-Sized Archie.
For the solicitations, they also miss things; if you're going by their news archive, they'll mention it, but pure solicitations you'll miss most crossover comics, such as Harley and Ivy, and Evil Dead, as well as missing their Oni-Press books now.
Just wondering, if anybody notices other things not there that would show up, thanks!
