- Anzai is the promised “Future Ace” of the promotion (already being heralded as one of the “Two Aces”, alongside Kento Miyahara) and wildly popular with the audience. Despite his early successes, it’s been shown that he still has some ways to go, as of late.

- Aoyagi is the tenured veteran (10+ years) who is still on the younger side, who was one of the most promising of his generation and is determined to still have a place on top; he’s been booked as consistently having Anzai’s number.

- Honda is the perennial underdog and very likable goober. Despite being a “son” of WRESTLE-1, it seems the promotion has slowly been building him to a big moment (which could even happen this month, facing Miyahara for the Triple Crown).

- Ayabe is the big man on campus, the once skinny “Longboi” of JTO that has filled out and become very aggressive in the ring; Ayabe has already been quite dominant, as both a World Tag Champ and also in singles encounters, with his opponents just barely overcoming him.

Shinkiba gets the most amazing cards man, this has me more excited than many Korakuen cards announced by other promotions.

Anzai vs Musashi as the opener, the full Uptown team is there and the last three matches all look really good. Just throwing an Aoyagi vs Kono singles match out there at Shinkiba. Main event needs no words either.

So, I'm a NJPW, STARDOM, AEW, CMLL and TJPW fan, and I'm interested on starting to follow 2026 AJPW, but I wasn't really sure if it is worth it as I don't really hear much about the quality of the promotion, so I wanted to know your thoughts as I assume fans, I'd appreciate any opinion, positive or negative, thank you!

I am going to be out in Japan in November and early December for the first time. I am organising a few wrestling events into my trip but mainly there for tourism.

There are two AJPW events 27 & 28th Nov at the Stella Hall in the Umeda Sky Building. From photos this venue looks absolutely tiny. Without any knowledge of the card or anything I'm interested if it's worth doing?

Will the small venue add to the experience, or will it mean it's a under booked card?

Anyone been to Stella Hall before or has any photos of the wrestling set up there?

I have just signed up for AJPW TV having never watched All Japan before and I was just trying to get an understanding of what the bare minimum is in order to keep up with it, are the live shows must watch and VOD more optional and sort of equivalent to house shows? Or have I got that wrong?

Recently went to Japan and picked these up from Toudoukan. One of the greatest if not greatest Japanese wrestlers and certainly one of my favourites, picked up a few others like tiger mask figures and such. Spent a whole lotta money on merch.

I want to write reviews about the great wrestling saga that is King's Road, and in a way similar to how smarks appreciate it, but I'm intimidated by how deep and layered this era was. I'm hoping to get some encouragement from people here. I want to really be able to understand and appreciate the enormity of what it is I'm watching. How do I see the matches through deeper eyes?
