Hopefully it'll be available soon.

WHEN?!

u/AnEnglishUsername 15h ago
Yeh I'm playing a lot ATM and after 4 crashes, kinda annoying me. Also lack of icons on world map, I know you can change the view but other people like armourers and herbalist exist in the world if you go to them but via world map, nope

Lmaoo I’m so glad someone mentioned this. I only played like an hour when remastered dropped (waiting for more mods) and every time id fight, geralt would, randomly, look in some random direction, usually with signs.
1
u/wingedwild 11h ago
Its weird . Yes there is a lock on system but tht doesnt mean when geralt is not locked on he loses all sense of where he is
9
u/sammyrobot2 16h ago
Just switch it back to classic tbh.
1
u/Megane_Senpai 1h ago
Same issue if you switch combat back to classic. You'll need to revert the game back to 4.04.
9
u/wolnee 17h ago
this combat system is one of the worst I've seen and its not even close
5
2
u/Honest_Explorer_4449 17h ago
It’s pretty rough… cyberpunk isn’t great either, but everything else about these games carries them to greatness
9
u/KeyTotal7771 12h ago
Did you really call cyberpunks combat rough? You can’t be serious.
0
u/Honest_Explorer_4449 12h ago
Maybe not rough, but it definitely felt clunky at times, some with the driving.
I still thoroughly enjoyed the game but the combat definitely wasn’t a cornerstone of my experience.
5
u/KeyTotal7771 12h ago
The driving is ass but once you’re upgraded with combat stuff/skills the combat is great lmao
0
u/Jcritten 11h ago
Nah you were right. It’s enjoyable enough but yea it ain’t great. It’s more of a power fantasy if anything
1
1
u/rell7thirty 12h ago
Happened to me first two days, a lot. Happens less now, using “z” on keyboard to target makes it a little easier but I have no idea how to switch to the target that’s literally right next to me. Wish it had some auto system. There are some combat mods on nexus but I’m still trying to give the vanilla remastered combat a chance. Started a whole new save from scratch lol still waiting on a new game + one that isn’t overpowered so much
1
u/wingedwild 11h ago
Tht has ben a thing since the original game and never fixed. Geralt if not locked on simply will never face the enemy which is stupid
1
u/Icy_Degree_4797 17h ago
Bro I thought I was the only one thinking I’m ass at the game😭glad to see I’m not alone with pulling out my hair with this combat system.
1
u/UFONomura808 12h ago
Although I'm really loving the game I have to agree, Geralt just doesn't snap to another enemy when moving stick in that general direction. Instead, where your stick is pointing is where he will swing his sword.
Often I'm attacking and fire blasting the air when I switch enemies, I just try to not play it Arkham style. The world building and side stories really carry this game for me.
1
u/wingedwild 11h ago
Also the distance and animation thr plays is often wrong. In witcher 2 if the distance was too far geralt would do a dodge roll attack with sword.here geralt will swing at air miss then get hit constnatly
0
u/Jcritten 11h ago
Man I’ve come back to it to finish my next gen run from 2022 and have decided on going for the platinum this month because Control Resonant ain’t hitting and immediately had to change to classic. Modern is straight shit from a butt
42
u/No-Construction1958 18h ago
I just want the bloom and contrast to be fix this is the only thing I hate about this remaster
1
1
u/moonski 9h ago
and the dodge change
1
u/Sihnar 9h ago
What dodge change?
0
u/moonski 9h ago
You dodge when you release B and not when you press it. Makes combat feel awful
-4
u/ShadonicX7543 8h ago
Is that not how it's been for Souls games since the beginning of time? People don't really seem to have an issue there, or is it somehow worse in this game?
7
u/cyclicalbeats 8h ago
Is Souls The Witcher 3?
1
u/moonski 2h ago
Doesn't work like that in souls either
1
u/ShadonicX7543 1h ago
What? You're just wrong. That's the reason why if you hold B or circle, you sprint and not immediately roll, because the roll only happens when you let go of the dodge button.
It's because the button has shared actions. That's how it works. I also realize that the importance and the feel is different in a Souls game than it is in Witcher 3, but I've just been curious that nobody has complained about it in the Souls game where dodging can arguably be more impactful.
1
u/ShadonicX7543 1h ago
I feel like you could have in good faith understood the point I was trying to make and not just taken it at that raw face value.
I was never saying that the impact of that being the case has the same exact implications, but I was just curious that people don't really seem to complain much in Souls games where dodging is more integral, but again, I understand that the timings etc. differentiate it.
1
u/moonski 2h ago
No that's not how souls works
0
u/ShadonicX7543 1h ago
You're wrong I'm pretty sure. I mentioned it in below comment.
1
u/moonski 1h ago
Yet Witcher 3 feels like shit.
0
u/ShadonicX7543 1h ago
Well yeah, I'm not trying to disagree with you or anything. That's why I genuinely asked in my comment if it actually feels worse in this game. I feel like you could have just informed me instead of just getting mad off the bat and downvoting me, but okay..
I've been waiting for the game to fix things before I play it for the first time again since release, so I haven't tested it out yet. That's why I asked if it feels worse in this game than in a Souls game....

The performance is fine? 🤔
3
u/Zavarius666 12h ago
I can only speak for Switch 2. The performance is perfect (Stable FPS). But not playable for me cuz the visuals. Problems are known, Fix is coming etc... (Yet)
1
u/m__a__r__i__o 11h ago
Does the Switch 2 version have bad bloom and off colors too?
3
u/Zavarius666 11h ago
Yea, all consoles. Blurry, Bloom, Colors, Minimap Bug, Sound balance (more...)... But a fix is coming.
25
u/Icy_Degree_4797 17h ago
CDPR vs Technical side of the game will be a forever battle at this point.

u/DilutePlacebo 17h ago
I need a fix for the broken foliage physics and the dodge input delay.
11
9
u/libero07 Team Yennefer "Man of Culture" 15h ago
The issue of foliage is something I'm noticing much more in the Remastered version. In Next Gen games, did we have trees growing through the walls of houses when it was windy? Because I never noticed that.
4
u/DilutePlacebo 15h ago
Nope, something about the foliage is broken. The grass no longer moves when Geralt steps through it
1
u/BlessTheRules 10h ago
That was always an issue with bushes, trees, grass placed near walls. Not the remasters fault, just some small oversights that happen with such a big game. Maybe there will be a mod some day that helps with this
2
u/wingedwild 11h ago
The dodge input is weird. Its better i think then in original but stil bad like geralt doesnt have enough animiations
8
9
u/K1NG_of_ReVeNGe13 18h ago
More PS5 Mods and the game not logging me out and resetting all my settings every damn time I launch it would already make me happy. Visually it looks good if you tweak the settings, just these two are my main issue.
2
u/dnn_burrman 16h ago
activate cloudsave and make sure your save is uploaded then go to settings and delete all witcher3 savedata. that fixed it for me
1
u/DrunkenDragonDE 17h ago
Try resaving your saves or deleting the old ones, I had the exact same issue with resetting my settings, also everytime I started the game it prompted me that there was a update therefore my settings were resetet, now it's working and I don't have to change my settings everytime anymore.
12
u/DickLongueira 16h ago
They haven't even noticed that Critical Hit Damage Bonus does absolutely nothing (always +10% damage on crits even if you stack multiple sources)

3
u/turkoman_ 17h ago
Add 40fps option on consoles ffs.
2
u/berri97alli 15h ago
The Novigrad fps drop from 60fps to 45fps up and down is really really bad (ps5 slim)
3
u/vetrus13 15h ago
How about the corrupted save files? I cant even play the game without fear of corrupting more save files.
1
3
u/TumultuousTeeK 14h ago
This is my first time playing and I'm having a lot of fun, despite many, many crashes on PS5 Pro. I'm just thankful the load times have improved so much. I watched some old videos and Idk how you all did it with upwards of 90-second load times.
3
u/PuzzleheadedMaize911 12h ago
No news on pitch black interiors with ray tracing / path tracing?
1
1
u/theend117 10h ago
I have the same issue whenever I use a torch. Parts of the image go pitch black on some angles. Happens to me a lot indoors.
1
u/PuzzleheadedMaize911 9h ago
With RT/PT off it's fine for me. With it on many interiors are genuinely impossible to see
5
u/NeatNobody807 14h ago
Just give us a standalone of the version we had before.
"free' is great. Coming at the cost of what we had already bought isn't.
1
u/Quick_Opportunity_26 12h ago
This should be top comment! The remaster isn't the game I bought and I don't want to play it even if it will be running without too many bugs one day.
3
u/yayecznica 15h ago
Guess what, nobody's talking about why there are 17 mods on Xbox since last week
2
u/PCBuilderCat 8h ago
Probably because most people would much rather talking about gameplay and visual bugs before we even think about mods, lets have a fully functioning game for everyone first no?
2
u/phillyd_ 13h ago
We have slightly more on PS5 and they are all pretty rubbish so you're not missing much.
2
2
1
u/arkhamtheknight 13h ago
They have actually said about that. They are working on adding more mods but they are also dealing with the bugs and issues at the same time so it's gonna take a little bit of time.
They wanna try and fix the issues first as modders work on adjusting mods to work on console until they are ready.

2
u/WhiteSekiroBoy 17h ago
Well, I'm just about done with base game, going to start Hearts of Stone later today.
At this rate I might see another patch when I'm fully settled in Corvo Bianco. Kinda wish they authorize more mods by now, but oh well.
2
u/libero07 Team Yennefer "Man of Culture" 17h ago
Optimizing the game for PC is already to my liking; the stuttering is unbearable.
2
u/Few_Bookkeeper_3282 15h ago
CDPR, fix blurry portable switch 2 image please! perfomance-quality switch in settings would be awesome, like on other consoles
2
u/Fine_Difference_4305 15h ago
I’m sure they’re working on it, but having whole settlements T pose on me kinda adds to me feeling unwelcome among humanity😞😅
2
u/saint-crow42 15h ago
God I hope they fix the camera glitch I habe going on. It just pans every which way. Not my controller, I tested it
2
2
u/nastymanmkultra 11h ago
I wish they could make cut scenes pauseable because my wife and kids love to talk to me only when that shit is happening. Kcd2 was baller for having that
2
2
u/tincancan15 9h ago
But why just Ukrainian? Why not make other languages available worldwide on PlayStation as well?
3
u/UpsetPause5613 16h ago edited 14h ago
Half of combat skills are not even working and they didnt even mentioned that lol, skills like muscular memory for instance do nothing.
What a joke
Edit: ppl downvoting this is peak comedy LOL
1
u/NicolasSharpN7 17h ago
Are there still bugs, should i wait with a new game? (amd)
2
u/MiGwentOhara 14h ago
Every one’s getting different experiences. I see a lot of people say they have no issues. I have a couple I can look past but for me the game is stuttering a lot and it ruins it. Best to just give it a go for your self I’d say.

Dude I’m not even touching this until Songs of the Past drops. Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time and I will not have my memory of it tainted by a subpar remaster

I wish they'd add some QOL changes like fast travel anywhere (after a certain point), turn off Dandelions loading screens, faster increase for betting money (why is it still so slow), filter weapons and armour by damage/defence high:low and the map needs options to add warp signs, blacksmiths.
Also I would love if quests were differentiated on the map by colour. So main (yellow) vs secondary (blue) etc
1
u/stellalh 12h ago
Dude the voice overs made me crazy. Had to tweak it like hell for it to kinda work using a headset on my console. Turning the volume down on everything in the game except voices and then turning up the volume to max on the headset. Safe to say my ears took some damage when I switched to YouTube without turning the headset volume down.
1
u/coldfear_x 12h ago
Just use the TV speakers option.
1
u/stellalh 12h ago
Well duh but there is/was a bug or something where the voices was SUPER low basically silent so you couldn’t hear it. Hence my solution.
1
1
u/coldfear_x 6h ago
But my answer was my solution for your problem. :D Choose the "tv speakers" option in the game's sound menu, and the voices will be fine.
1
u/stellalh 3h ago
That’s the option I had it on :( but apparently it’s being looked into anyways, thanks for the tip <3

Today I had my first crash on PS5 after 3 full games on Next-Gen! The game crashed when fighting the first boss of the Wild Hunt in the Kiera Metz quest - "Wandering in the Dark". It seems that we have to be patients and let CDPR to their job! Next-Gen wasn't without issues when it was lanched, but it became a wonderfull game with time!
1
u/phantomthief91 11h ago
Genuine question. Can anyone actually explain to me what the differences are in combat? They said they tweaked it or something for Remastered but it looks and feels the same to me?
2
u/mht2308 10h ago
This video does the best job at explaining it. The differences are subtle, but pretty interesting.

1
u/Empty-Extreme-6669 11h ago
It would be super cool if Witcher 3 offered the mod supported store, kinda like how Bethesda does it. Might make the game more fun
Ofc this would be for the console games. Pc is already covered. But I do feel bad that console Witcher 3 can’t really mod like pc can

I was playing with rt on ps5 and had inmense framedrops. Hope they fixe it.

1
u/Thatoneguy567576 6h ago
I’m wondering if I should hold off on my playthrough until this update. I want to take advantage of the cross progression between PlayStation and switch, but the mod list especially doesn’t match and performance on Switch 2 still leaves something to be desired.
1
u/Independent-Brain-15 6h ago
Even with a rtx 4090 im dipping to 80fps then and there in toussaint in 2k res dlaa RT off. Literally takes like 370-380W with 70°C temps where my pc usually never goes above 66 for any other games....smh 🤦

u/FootballNo3289 2h ago
Glad they will sort out the audio. I’m on PS5 and I did have the subtitles off. Had to turn them back on as the audio for dialogue keeps going really quiet like they are whispering
1
u/farid1163 1h ago
The only thing I'm disappointed with the remaster is that they removed the fixative perk which lets you have 3 blade oils applied to your swords :(

u/bestanonever 17h ago
Sounds good. By the time of the new DLC, it's going to be a very solid upgrade for all platforms.
1
u/TheBritishGaymer 17h ago
I really wish mods didn't disable trophies on PS5. Makes them being available kinda pointless
1
u/Reikuma-X 13h ago
Is console having serious issues? Been playing a fresh save on PC. Everything at ultra with RT on and I’m getting a solid 94 frames with little to no drops and haven’t had any issues at all.
2
u/GOKOP 10h ago
There are people on PC who are having issues, people on PC who are not having issues, people on consoles who are having issues and people on consoles who are not having issues
1
u/Reikuma-X 10h ago
Which is most games. Just was curious if the game is having widespread issues on consoles since this update seems incredibly geared towards it
2
1
u/iselphy 11h ago
I’m running around Toussaint on a 5090 and 9700x3d with everything at ultra and RT and PT on, DLSS balance and it dips below 60 at the docks where there’s a bunch of NPCs. I’m on the latest driver.
How are you getting solid 94?
1
u/Reikuma-X 10h ago
I don’t run path tracing. Tbh I don’t think it looks good enough to justify the performance loss I also don’t turn on nvidia hairworks I honestly think it makes geralts hair look pretty goofy. Just those setting alone will drop me to sub 60 if they are on. I run dlss at quality rather than dlaa which lets me run RT on max.
2
u/OmegaCalamity 8h ago
In my personal experience, Path Traced hair actually gave me a few frames while looking better than normal and hairworks. At least on a 5080. The 50 series cards have specific tech/cores for dealing with ray-traced hair. IIRC
1
u/Reikuma-X 8h ago
I’m also running a 5080, just upgraded recently. Honestly haven’t tried the Path tracing hair yet. Will have to experiment a bit next time I’m on, cheers for that!
1
u/Makeoneupplease2 1h ago
Lighting mainly. When you first enter a building it is clearly lit correctly, take a few steps forward and the lighting just de-loads. I guess it’s constantly switching between baked lighting and RTGI, maybe?
1
u/Icy-Spite9519 12h ago
Put the run button back to 'x' and reinstate the griffin techniques bonus of medium armour pieces bringing 5 seconds of stamina recovery. Until then I shall play the PS4 version.

u/DOMINUS_3 18h ago
No addressing GAME BREAKING corrupted saves .. fuck these guys
3
u/Mother_File9276 17h ago
I had to leave the game after 500+ hours because the game cannot save and any other save is corrupted. Ok, they will fix twitch drops, but they have to fix saves now! People risk to lose everything

u/DOMINUS_3 17h ago
crazy i’m getting downvoted for experiencing a game breaking bugs
