My Dad’s 44 year old wallet
I knew he’d had it as long as I could remember, turns out he got it from a petrol station back in 1982. He’d bought a pack of stamps and the wallet was a freebie

My goodness, what is that username.
Anyhow, you do get good wallets. But you have to scout them now. Earlier they were available everywhere or easily could be found.
I paid twice the market rate to get a wallet made. Has been with me for 5 years, so I wanted to get one more just in case - a back-up to my wallet. Unfortunately he said only if I order 5, so I guess I have a few extra wallets. I gave away a few to my close people, and still have 2 extras left.
Point being, you still get quality stuff. You have scout for it.

My boyfriend did the same and he loves his wallet, it’s definitely going to be a lifelong one. But it’s just a shame you have to go to that length when all my dad did was buy a pack of stamps

I want to admit, scoring a good deal gives me a sense of achievement. Also, it takes away the instant gratification that is rampant these days. It just tickles my mind differently.
To research and learn what is important, before finding what makes this specific thing better, and then to go and scout for places who can make it for you.
People online might label that with something. But I don't really know.
Currently, interior and improvements within the house is the subject for a while.

Enshittification is rife. It’s not even a fancy wallet and clearly its age shows, but it’s done the job for over four decades. Designer ones these days fall apart after a year

That thing must smell like 50 different smells all in one.
