That's a scooter, not a moped. Moped is a portmanteau of Motorized and Pedal, meaning a true moped has pedals as well as a motor.

He did, look at the headlight! He accidentally turned it on again when it fell down.

The rare double death. First for dropping it, then again when it makes a break for it.

Poor sode.

From whence it came

Did somebody say “Wonder”?

Nobody had

One of the FIRST things your learn in MSF class is to always turn the bike off first if you drop it while running.

You need to take whatever opportunity comes your way to escape.

How the hell is there a roadway/walkway that narrow at the edge of a substantial cliff in an urban area without so much as a guardrail present? Shit is wild

To me it doesn't look any different than this.

It’s just water. You’re acting like water kills hundreds of thousands of people a year.

That's a river with ~1m drop from the pavement. Just perspective makes it look like a big drop.

It’s about a 6 ft drop. You can see this on the waterway and with how long it takes the moped takes to splashdown.

u/TheSleepyTruth 23d ago

Yeah it definitely is more than 1 meter. You can see the water line and how much stone is above the water. And how long it takes the bike to hit the water. Its more like a ~6-10ft (2+ meters) drop which is substantial if you were to drive a motor vehicle off of that. If you look a little further behind the subject in the background you can see the height of the stone wall above the water line on the roadway side is clearly substantially more than the height of a man. Even on the side with the grass it is definitely a bit lower on that side but still over a meter for sure

No, it's not. It may be closer to that height when the pavement inclines at the end of the road (where there is a small wall inplace), however where the moped driver was stood (and where there is no wall) its clearly less than a 6ft drop.

Hardly a "substantial cliff".

Lol, you're very passionate about being wrong.

5

u/96JMC 23d ago

Still doesn't pose anywhere near as much of a hazard as OP implied.

"Shit is wild". No, it really is not.

u/HajimeFromArifureta 23d ago

Depends. If you land poorly your neck snaps and you’re gone.

I don’t know how you’d ever accomplish that, but people are stupid enough to find a way.

A 2 meter sheer drop into a body of water beside a narrow urban roadway with no guardrail, is in fact wild if you are used to living in a developed country with safety standards.

u/PretzelsThirst 23d ago

I can tell you haven’t driven or travelled much, even in your own country

u/96JMC 23d ago

This looks like it's in the UK. Similar examples would be found all across Europe. I think it's beautiful.

I have one very important word for ya, "Kids".

5

u/96JMC 23d ago

Open waterways are hardly uncommon in urban areas.

I have two words for you: Parental supervision.

-3

u/CREEZ_27 23d ago

Not where I am from. C'mon man this doesn't look like a good idea at all and you know it.

This guy is not the brightest bulb in the pack 🤔

22

u/fugetooboutit 23d ago

Scooter delivery guys dont make that much...that dudes pay must've been docked for months

10

u/buyongmafanle 23d ago

Even worse. That's his own scooter. They just supply you with a box to attach.

0

u/Hurlbag 23d ago

At least the box is safe, now he must take up the mantle and become scooter

-2

u/Odd-Switch2069 23d ago

Sucks for him.

3

u/msivoryishort 23d ago

At least the food he was delivering is safe?

-25

u/Scar3cr0w_ 23d ago

Well well well

Almost like it wasn’t a road he should have been riding on.

6

u/Strange_Vagrant 23d ago

Ha ha ha, the slump. The defeat in that man.

4

u/parkhurstcards 23d ago

Free Willy!

u/ayyungjeezy 23d ago

Average moped user.

u/TrueBonner414 23d ago

Poor guy

4

u/cyb3rg0d5 23d ago

Right! It’s so funny but still feel so sorry for the dude 😅

5

u/DaftGorilla 23d ago

Holy shit haha. He will never leave the scooter running like that again I bet.
