Even the guys on the TV wore eye protection, they've played on this TV before.

You can tell by the trajectory that cork didn't go anywhere near the TV.

u/duck_sucker7 14d ago
Would have been fine if it was just the cork. Top of the bottle also went with it.
2
u/VayaConDios91 13d ago
When opening champagne with a saber the top of the bottle always comes off

She thought she was safe aiming it at the ceiling but she was right in line for the tv and he knew it

"Hey here's an idea, point it at the T.V. in a living room thats right next to the f***ing kitchen..."

There is something called a hand towel and you could use it to cover the cork. You use thumb pressure...pretty easy. Not as cool as your sword trick, but your TV wouldn't be all fucked to hell right now. At the end of the day she will make it his fault.

how does this have 52k likes but there's not even one comment with any likes in the double-digit range

u/Growkitz 18d ago
I got you there bud.

u/kalemaree 17d ago
thanks bro 🥹 a burglar in my house said he was going to blow my brains out if my reddit comment didn't surpass 9 likes and entered the double-digit range, but you came in at just the right time and liked it. he immediately dropped the weapon and began frantically apologizing, kneeling down to me in repentance. i began repeatedly kicking him in the balls until the cops came. they said because i began to hurt him i could get charged for battery, as he had already surrendered before i did anything so it wasn't really in self defense. court is next friday, but i'm sure with twelve whole likes on my comment i can pass off as innocent just this once. again, thank you. i am eternally grateful.

I bet you she didn't offer to pay for its repair or for a new one and just kept partying

Accountability equals zero.
Sabering is stupid, anyway, good way to get glass in your wine.
5
u/Psychedelicious420 23d ago
"I won't" like she has any control whatsoever over where that thing is going 🤣
6
u/NieveCactus 22d ago
I mean she is the only one in control of where it was going. If she's capable of aiming it is another story.

I mean fake right? Doesn't look like there nearly enough force to do that
2
u/Flashy-Author8428 19d ago
Lmao please don’t handle anything like that around people you don’t just as clueless like the female in the video 😂
9
u/lukethighwalker420 24d ago
Nah champagne bottles hold about 2-3 times more pressure than a car tire, with them typically sitting between 70-90 PSI. They can shoot out at around 50 mph, and can definitely hit hard enough to break a tv screen.
3
u/NiceWorkLad 21d ago
Plus it's not just the cork, there to glass part coming off too
2
u/kemmicort 16d ago
Yeah when you open the bottle like this, the top of the glass usually flies off attached to the cork. Super unsafe in a group of people.

I still don’t understand why people open them like this; it is completely unnecessary and dangerous.

so you will not understand either the excitment of performing a flaming lamgorghini cocktail :)

People who wear baseball caps inside should get a week in jail. An extra day if they wear it so low it obscures their eyes.

If it wasn’t so high the cork would have missed it.

If I wasn’t so high, I wouldn’t have read this as “the ‘cock’ would have missed it”

u/Own_Knowledge_4269 Aug 16 '26
everyone wants to celebrate by shooting the champagne. honestly such a dumb tradition
3
u/Total_Wrongdoer_1535 Aug 13 '26
Bro but how does it have the gasses? Normal champagne cork would break the tv… I think. The distance is too great

u/devilsCenturion Aug 11 '26
Lol deserved bro learnt a valuable lesson that night
5
u/daboknee Aug 13 '26
What lesson did he learn? I think he already knew.. Hopefully she learned something though.
1
u/devilsCenturion Aug 13 '26
If he had half a cell in his brain he would have had her standing where the TV was and aim it down the hallway 🤔you know away from the expensive items
2
u/KandiZombie Aug 29 '26
He's supposed to hold the burden to assume all of his peers are morons who are gonna wreck his stuff?
46
u/GrodNeedsaHug Aug 11 '26
Why would you even point it that way?!?
6
u/LokiChico Aug 11 '26
That way? More like in that house 😂 I get a bottle every couple years for my birthday (Dec 31) and since I was an age not old enough for it, it's always been outside opens. At least out the damn door. I lost a cork years back because it was snowing. Didn't lose a TV tho, or a window, or have to replace drywall.
3
u/FriendOfDirutti Aug 15 '26
You don’t have to open it outside. Just grab the cork with your hand and hold onto it and shimmy it back and forth.

He manifested it
0
u/HannaHHHannaH Aug 11 '26
Isn't manifesting asking for good things?
1
u/DuckingFon Aug 12 '26
Manifestation is often based on the flawed western understanding of karma or "energy out = energy in". I've always understood it as "you tend to notice the things you are looking for", like when you are car shopping and all you start to notice is how many people are out there driving the car you want.

u/Pleasant-Bonus-866 Aug 11 '26
tv is not important in life
7
u/TequilaBaugette51 Aug 11 '26
Believe it or not when you spend $100s on something it is important in life
-1
u/Pleasant-Bonus-866 Aug 11 '26
you cannot buy friendship
6
u/Zerueldaangle Aug 13 '26
But you could buy a good TV, which is better than friends like this who would break your shit and laugh at you
8
u/ryykou Aug 11 '26
well then she better be prepared to pay him for a new tv. wonder if she'll be laughing then.

u/rik182 Aug 10 '26
The TV was already damaged and the whole thing was staged…
19
6
u/Flyers2013312 Aug 10 '26
Right that didn't come off fast enough to do damage.
1
u/mechapoitier Aug 11 '26
When you saber a champagne bottle frequently a sharp chunk of glass goes with it. It’s enough to do that for sure.
3
u/ladydanger2020 Aug 11 '26
What, by your calculations, is the velocity at which a cork does damage
2
u/AntonineWall Aug 11 '26
Depends, are we talking a south gulch stork or a northeastern valley stork?

I don't understand why people need to open bottles this way. Just pop the cork out like a normal person.
