What is Needed

• XBOX One, One S or One X with disc drive (no One S Digital) OR XBOX Series X with disc drive (no Series X Digital)
• Physical XBOX One or Series X game
• XBOX Account in the Insider Program
• Microsoft XBOX app on PC

Steps

1. Go to XCT XBOX Databse: https://xct.live/disc2digital
2. Filter Status (Disc to digital) to Yes, and Play Anywhere to Yes
3. Choose compatible game to borrow from library
4. Join XBOX Insider Program by downloading the Insider app on XBOX and linking your account
5. Insert disc, select game options and claim license
6. Install game on PC

Examples

Relatively popular games such as 007 First Light, Crimson Desert, and Onimusha will work with the method outlined above. Now we can, in a round-about way, borrow PC games from the library.

It's not as good a deal as I've seen some people get but the Shoppers near my house had Tears of the Kingdom and Animal Crossing both for $59.99 since Shoppers is apparently clearing out all electronics

Spotted this in their most recent email. Trade in 3 games with a $20 minimum value, you get an extra $100 in credit. Doesn’t appear to need to be towards any particular product or preorder. From August 4 to 10.

Labelled as YMMV as these random WM clearances are random. 😀

Attached pics are from Calgary WM @ Marlborough this morning: Cheaper way to get BOTW or TOTK for a NSW2 upgrade path. Metroid Prime and Paper Mario also stickered. This display is near the washroom in Electronics and on the opposite display, they had PS5+PS4 titles stickered but spine out.

Calgary 130th WM also had items on clearance last night (from a few weeks ago), but as they're spine out, most titles were hard for me to read. (No pics as there were 3 workers there). Some NSW titles like: DQ3 were $47.xx. MLB The Show 25 was $39.xx. They had Let's Sing 2025 Bundles for $29.xx. Etc.

Anyone gonna pull the trigger on this? or wait until it goes lower?

Physical copy is $5 more than digital ($84.99 vs $79.99) but it includes the Deluxe edition content for free, which is currently $93.49 CAD on the PS Store.

Just got the email that it has been delayed and no shipping date as of yet. Just an FYI for the rest of the Canadian Regalia gang

Available are: Viktor Vran Overkill edition for Switch and PS4; The Town of Light for PS4

Called about 3 stores, one had Spiderman and the other Mario Wonder

Easily one of the best way to own these new fantastic games, no preordering, no delayed shipping etc etc

For spiderman as an example, Got $26.70 in points, making this sublime new game $64 (if you look at it that way)

** Hack for when you call ** - Hit 4, then Hit 1, will take you directly to customer service - Mention that it came out today, that way they can check 'the back' since it's new stock without any real priority (not produce or anything). Mine had to do it for Spider-Man 2 and it was right there once she went in she said - Don't get frustrated and don't be a douche, why would someone help you out if you're being difficult! Good luck

Hey everyone,

I made a chrome extension for my fellow Canadians that lets you save games & other products to a wish list while you online shop. It'll monitor the price for you and send an email when it goes on sale. I thought it would be helpful for those of you looking to buy physical games

The full list of supported stores is here. If there are any popular ones I'm missing, let me know! I'd love to get your feedback

Stores to add:

** It may take up to a week for new revisions of the chrome extension to roll out, since every revision to the chrome extension needs to be reviewed by Google. They're a little slower than usual due to the pandemic - Ill cross the stores out once they're added and the new chrome extension revision is out! **
