He couldn’t have thrown a worse pitch if he tried.

Reminds me so much of Ohtani's HR off Dominguez in game 3.... Cock shot right down the middle. Fuck.

"I just came out of the pen in a critical moment, surely the batter wouldn't risk grounding into a double play and will be taking all the way on the first pitch." - Ubaldo Jimenez

Favourite parts of this was Wieters leaving the crouch as soon as Edwin started swinging and Carrera bringing the parrot into the home plate celebrations.

What an utterly glorious moment

Should’ve won it all that year. Everyone involved was deserving

buck showalter and the orioles were so hatable in this era and this felt so fucking good, it was like sticking a thumb in the cut to pull it open a little more.

Man, that ball jumped off that bat in a hurry!

I was at that game! I never understood why the Orioles didn't bring in their best reliever.

Legend has it that on a clear October night, you can see the ghost of Zach Britton standing in the visitors' bullpen.

I was there. Exiting the stadium with 50,000 people chanting ā€œEddie, Eddie, Eddieā€¦ā€

Ditto. Probably my top in-person blue jay moment.

I remember screaming like a little girl and waking up the entire house

If I had to bet, he’s going to be the one inducted next year

I hope not. I think Springer deserves to be up there more than Edwin, but I don’t think either should be up there.

I’m in a crowded bar and the moment he drops the bat this poor waitress, large tray with at least 8 full pints is jilted sideways. Beer and glass everywhere. Wonder if she loves this moment as much as I do.

Should have resigned him. Instead we ā€œreplacedā€ him with Kendrys Morales

u/BarkusSemien 9h ago

That was on Edwin’s agent, not the Jays.

Last time we had a consistent team

I still have yet to see a ball fly off a bat like that swing.

I think I permanently lost like 8% of my hearing at this moment. Worth it though.
