I see what you're saying, something about the physics of it. I think it's because we're so used to seeing people snap the flip quickly. But since he didn't fully commit, it ends up looking weird.

Lol he made it all the way around too, looked like he didn't directly land on his head but just kinda rolled it out like doing a "worm". Probably just needed to tuck his knees and he would have made it.
