Discussion She almost ruined a proposal.

This was at Crescent Bay Point Park, which allows people to book it special occasions.

Dear lord, how hard it is to just mind your own business? I can't imaging caring enough about total strangers to bother ruining a special moment like this for them. What a dogshit human being.

I don't agree with what she said but living in high traffic tourist areas gets annoying. You wanna have a quiet walk and someone has got a whole ass brass band out.

Nah, dude. You live in so cal and you are occasionally treated to a mariachi band. That's just part of the culture here. Can happen anywhere, any time. You learn to love it or you learn to be a bitter old hag.

It's a little obnoxious when people use a public park as their own personal yard, I agree. This isn't as bad as a gender reveal, and I don't mind mariachi music, but why such a big production for a marriage proposal? I guess this is the new thing we all have to deal with.

"But it's just one couple being happy!" except it's a new tradition now, big production video shoots for a proposal for LOTS of couples. It's a public space, so people are allowed to go about their business whether or not it ruins your proposal/wedding/pregnancy/gender reveal/birthday/retirement video production.

Personally, I'd stay out of the way, but if it's becoming a regular thing, I'd lose patience. I suspect this woman had racist reasons to be irked, though.

Guess I should take this over to unpopularopinion.

Same here. She could have kept her mouth shut and be on her way. Actually a Mariachi band is nice and they likely won’t be there too long. I live in front of a park in LA and I see people enjoying a party and it’s nice at the moment to see them happy but it’s sad to see the leftovers of piñatas, confetti and gender reveal trash on the ground and trees every Monday. I don’t ever say anything tho.
