Every time I see this meme I am brought back to being a server at a breakfast joint waiting hand and foot every Sunday on the most demanding, insufferable “bathed in his blood” ass elders who would leave literal pocket change for their weekly ritual torture.

The brewery I work at won’t ever be open on Sundays again, the after church crowd are significantly the rudest, most demanding people and they never tip well.

That’s awesome for FOH as it’s rarely worth the effort. Every spot I’ve worked at the owners couldn’t pass up the after church crowd.

We have a decent owner! We tried Sundays a few different times, but inevitably after a few shifts servers would start making their Sundays unavailable, so we couldn’t even staff well enough to keep up with demand. Plus, the rate of food “mess ups” was noticeably higher, and we operate on small margins for food so when a table of 12 wants 5 things remade or refunded AND they are rude to workers to a point of nearly making them quit- Sundays were just not worth it.

He loses some revenue, but the amount he actually saves by not having to replace burnt out staff is definitely greater.
