Literally used to be Mexico. These fucking assholes who don’t think California culture and Mexican culture aren’t totally intertwined should be ejected to whatever state they think is the most “pure”.

It's about as good of an argument as it being part of the US now, California was colonised and handed over to Mexico.

Not that I think the lady is in the right, I just think the idea that land belongs to a certain group of people simply because "they were here just before the group that now control this place" when in reality those people were also there at one point because they colonised/invaded that place.

They didn’t say someone else owns the land they said our culture is intertwined. Which it literally is BECAUSE Mexican people were here and remained after the United States took over. You think all the people just up and left?

Yeah and why are those two cultures so intertwined?

Oh right it's because at a previous point in time that land was invaded/colonised.

Woosh!

Way to make up an argument in your head to make yourself feel right.

They said "literally used to be Mexico" as if that is a good argument.

as I said though I agree that they are culturally intertwined, but again the point is WHY

His post didn’t ask the why, we know the why. He is just stating the current reality.

Case in point, it’s a real possibility that the Mexicans the POS is harassing have families that have been here longer than  her family has been in the US.

Okay, and my post did ask the why and I expanded my point because as I said a lot of people seem to think no further than 1 step back and not ask the question why the Mexicans were there.

Because it is irrelevant.
