"go back to Mexico" was the real reason she was angry

u/krudru 16h ago

People need to start responding with "go back to Europe".

u/bond0815 8h ago

I like to ask them how long their grandparents or great grand parents waited at Ellis island. They usually don't even know what the process was for their immigrant family when they first came to the US. Average wait time at Ellis island was 5-7 hours and you were sent into the American experiment to be somebody.

Thank goodness that was the process too. Because if we listened to these idiot motherfuckers in the 19th and 20th century then we absolutely would not have had the population to build the largest industrial capacity in the world during ww2. We out-built the rest of the world combined in shipbuilding, fought two wars at the same time in two oceans, and sent a steady line of supply ships and supplies to the UK to make sure our ally survived the blockade and siege.

If all our decision makers were like this dipshit lady, we basically would have just lost. Immigrants, black folks, and women enabled us to build more ships than 3 sovereign nations could destroy when working together. Those now non-existent regimes thought an Ethnonationalist country, like this lady clearly supports, would help them. Instead it was their downfall.

PS: descendants of slaves, Native born Americans, and native Americans all deserve their own credit as well, but I was just making the point about immigration to address this ladies lack of understanding of History.

Not only that, but a good majority of these people’s ancestors arrived in the US with no real restrictions, or arrived illegally themselves if they were the right color.

these racists in southern california are all from the midwest, it is a huge issue we are dealing with right now.

1

u/G_mork 2h ago

Let’s not forget that a lot of them are descended from confederate soldiers, too, especially in LA & OC.

2

u/Rugkrabber 10h ago

We don’t want her either. She’s not from here let’s be real, her over over over over over grandpa coming over is meaningless.

1

u/cortodemente 11h ago

or go back to Aftica... (Africa was the origin of the Homo sapiens). It is like whatever number of generations gives the right to be on taken land.

6

u/Majestic_Pear_3851 10h ago

I don’t think most people will get that automatically without having it explained to them.

1

u/PookieCat415 7h ago

I would just remind her that we are in California and that used to Mexico up until less than 200 years ago. Where are the Mexicans supposed to “go back to” when they were actually here first?

1

u/TunaBlub 4h ago

I know someone who did and they got screamed back at "I am American".

Well, your ancestors think otherwise.

Anyhow, in theory living in north or south America makes you american so...

Please don't send people like her here to europe.

1

u/Playful-Farm-3156 4h ago

It's sadly funny and ironic, but the Europeans would never accept that.

1

u/NoCry8625 3h ago

They would totally take that as a compliment.

1

u/ThirstyOutward 2h ago

Why do you think this would work?

Genuinely baffling bad level of comeback

1.5k

u/Gryphith 17h ago

Which is just continuously funny to me when it's said in a place that was Mexico. I really wish history was a bigger thing for everyone. It would really make our society advance rapidly.

u/bdiddy_ 15h ago

these people forgot the damned ALAMO!!!!!!

Mass amounts of old Mexicans were allowed to stay after the war in which we took by force their land. And we were totally cool with that and them back then so I dunno what happened here. Often when talking to Hispanics you're talking to people whose families have literally been American longer than your white ass family whose great grand parents just immigrated here in like the late 1800s early 1900s or maybe even Grandpappy came over in WW2 like my fam lol.

I love pointing out American history to ignorant westerners.

4

u/Anonymous_Jr 6h ago

I also love pointing out American history to ignorant Americans.

There's more than you'd be able to imagine, but less than what they think they have in self-support systems.

3

u/PeanutButterToast4me 3h ago

The conservative wing cultivates this ignorance in both their followers and as many others as they can force it on. Segregated schools was a that in action e.g. Defunding public schools in general now is the new tactic.

9

u/government_not_ok 10h ago

Slowly but surely, culturally we there. 💪

14

u/TerminalVector 12h ago

Racists like to think of their racism as 'traditional' even if its completely not. Ahistorical appeals to tradition are one of the fundamental underpinnings of conservative thought.

5

u/tomjayyye 8h ago

Um... "Remember the Alamo" is a phrase used by Texans to hate on Mexicans because they invaded Texas. It was like specifically promoted by Texans to remind Texans to hate Mexicans.

1

u/Kuroude7 3h ago

Let me tell you, it is weird to have one side of my family to have been here since before 1776, and the other side to have immigrated here just two generations before mine.

1

u/thinkthingsareover 3h ago

I know I'm late to this, but I wanted to say thank you. My mother's maiden name is Garcia(I'm a 1/4 Mexican), and I also have multiple different tribes in my lineage on both sidesofmyfamily. (One of which Choctaw)

When I come across these wastes of oxygen who like to say "go home" I ask them if they have any Mexican, or Native ancestors for the the same reasons. I then tell them that if they want to play that game then they need to hop on a boat to head home.

While this country is based on atrocities, we were supposed to develop into a melting pot. Hell...just look at the words inscribed onto the Statue of Liberty's tablet.

I'm not even close to being a pure bread of any nationality, but I believe it's better for a myriad of reasons. When people ask me what my heritage is I tell them that 'I'm a mutt." And I truly am proud of that.

Don’t be silly! History won’t cure her racism

98

u/ImmediatePiano6690 16h ago

and history is communism, unless it's about America winning.

90

u/weirds 13h ago

History is woke

21

u/Calembreloque 13h ago

I checked where Crescent Bay Point Park is and it's in LAGUNA BEACH

It's a two hours drive from Tijuana!

BITCH IF YOU DON'T LIKE MEXICO WHY YOU GO LIVE WHERE MEXICO IS

4

u/Bear_faced 8h ago

u/wasimlhr 13h ago

Every road every city is Spanish named. How dense are these type of white people? And surprisingly they somehow are high earners.... White privilege I swear.

1

u/Good_Focus2665 5h ago

Usually moved there from the south.

1

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ 2h ago

You’d be surprised how many are from the northeast. They’re not free of racists at all. Tend to be very blatant about it too, like this woman.

1

u/_teach_me_your_ways_ 2h ago

They can barely tell it’s in Spanish with the way they pronounce them. Look at how they say Los Feliz or La Jolla. You can’t expect them to be intelligent

5

u/mveightxnine 11h ago

It’s literally called “Laguna” beach which is Spanish for lagoon. Dumb bitch

-3

u/tanstaafl90 15h ago

California was part of the Spanish Empire, built on the ruins of the Aztec Empire Spain destroyed. It remained so for about 300 years. Mexico became independent in 1808 and by 1848 it was divided up into Arizona, Nevada, Colorado and Utah. Funny how people tend to skip over centuries of history.

10

u/Hefty-Ambassador5661 14h ago

California was not built on the ruins of Aztec empire lol what. In fact California was not that populated except a bunch of missionaries when Spain owned it to force the native Americans to convert to Catholism. Also Mexico didn’t do anything with California in the few decades they owned it with independence that’s why it was easy for the US to take over cause there wasn’t many Mexicans here to begin with.

4

u/high1227 14h ago

And those few Mexicans were given a year to become US Citizens. After that year, if they didn't move out, they got automatically granted US citizenship. Imagine that, forcing nationality on Mexicans who were there first. First illegal Mexicans in CA were literally there first.

4

u/Ok-Parrot-1659 13h ago

> California was not that populated

You already know indigenous people lived there. Just because “Mexico didn’t do anything with California” doesn’t mean it’s fine that the US launched a war to own those lands.

1

u/Hefty-Ambassador5661 9h ago

My point is that not many Mexicans of Aztec or even Spanish origins went to California because prior to the gold rush and obviously before water was brought to Southern California most people that lived here were small indigenous tribes that were scattered around the area. And a lot of those indigenous tribes were mostly eliminated by the Spanish during the missionary era. So no they weren’t of Aztec descent since that empire was further south. I don’t even think Baja California or the area south of California was really settled or had many people there either since it’s mostly dessert and cities like TJ that sprang across the border only grew big because of America.

1

u/Ok-Parrot-1659 7h ago

I understand your point, I’m just saying indigenous people did live there and the land doesn’t need to be settled to be rightfully Mexican. Though I suppose you’re not exactly saying that the opposite is true - I hope we agree that it’s not.

0

u/tanstaafl90 12h ago

The Spanish Empire was built on the ruins of the Aztec Empire. The region of California was added to the Spanish holdings and run as such for 300 years. Mexico had it for 40.

95

u/nietzsche_niche 15h ago

Said in california unironically. A ‘Chinga tu madre’ seems valid x100

33

u/AdmiralAdama99 13h ago

I hope she enjoys her high gas prices and other economic problems. Hate is expensive. More expensive than they realize.

4

u/FriedEldenRings 16h ago

She is mad jelly at the young couple.

2

u/BSK_Darksol 13h ago

"GIVE BACK THIS LAND TO NATIVES!!"

2

u/PookieCat415 7h ago

This video is shot in California. I would have taken this as an education lesson for that racist and remind her how California used to be Mexico, as was most of the American west.

1

u/Dramatic_Charity_979 12h ago

Tell her what the real name is, and she may have an aneurysm :P

1

u/NinjaWarrior78 12h ago

And she couldn’t wait to yell it out. Pathetic.

1

u/CeruleanEidolon 10h ago

It's inexcusable, but I don't think that's the case. I think she's frustrated that her special neighborhood park is being used by people who don't have the luxury of having a park right next to their house.

But also, it is absolutely a bit of a dick move to take over a public space like this, and while she went about it way wrong, I get why she's angry at what is a constant occurrence. You just want to go out and have a nice peaceful walk and someone's using the space for a party because it makes for a good Instagram backdrop, that's irritating as hell. Fuck her racist response though.

1

u/Conscious-Start-4514 9h ago

Guarantee if it was a white couple she'd be there ruining it with her praises and butting into the shot. These racist losers think the world revolves around them

1

u/lilsnatchsniffz 9h ago

Or perhaps she has just gotten off a very disappointing phone call with her local police department during which she was told to mind her damn business.

1

u/ultimatefrogsin 8h ago

This looks like it is in California. Probably city with a Spanish name and originally was Mexican territory.

1

u/lethargicacid 3h ago

Caption states it is in Laguna Beach, so you’re correct on both counts.

1

u/foundinghillsblog 6h ago

Nah. There are communities with private parks that over look the ocean in Laguna. I think she is either senile or salty she doesn’t live in Emerald Bay.

-8

u/Beers_Beets_BSG 13h ago

Oh man, I disagree.

I was actually going to praise her for calling the cops before the racism started. She didn’t bring race into it until the music started. At least she’s just a completely miserable bitch to everybody

4

u/VagabondVivant 10h ago

I was actually going to praise her for calling the cops

Found the Karen

-3

u/Beers_Beets_BSG 8h ago

Lol as if you took half a sentence and used that as an argument. Did you even read the rest of the post? I’m just saying that it didn’t seem racially motivated since she didn’t even mention the Mexican part until the end

4

u/VagabondVivant 8h ago

Doesn't matter what the rest of the sentence was or could have possibly been. "I was going to praise someone for calling the cops" [on someone who's not doing anything even remotely criminal] is a fucked up thing to say, full stop.

-11

u/Pedantichrist 14h ago

I mean, that was in response to Mexican music being played, rather than aimed at the photographer, no?

5

u/VagabondVivant 10h ago

Yeah, god forbid people play Mexican music in [checks location] Southern California.
