That wouldn't have mattered. She would have demanded proof, because clearly she has authority over everything and everyone! They would have refused and then she'd have called the cops anyway. Lose/lose.

eeexactly... these kinds of "people" move the goal posts as much as possible. The key is to stop humoring then IMO
