I’m 33 and my mom had me at 36. The ‘boy mom’ things she did to me and my brother born in ‘82 definitely line up with this, sure my mom also had to do more single mom taking care of boys stuff but also shunned my sister and focused on her oldest and youngest as the men of the house that would eventually take care of her.

My boy mom status was fully realized when I found myself on Mother’s Day watching “alone” with her 3 sons and their 4’ long ball python roaming across our laps on the couch 😅 never in my WILDEST dreams would I have expected that for my future but I wouldn’t change it for anything lol.
Or seeing a pile of 8 pairs of giant 10 year old shoes in my entry and a billion nerf bullets all over my house and having to shout “mom coming around the corner, don’t shoot!” Gahhh it’s the best.

Boys feet generally get larger than girls will, so there are literally more shoe size increments for them to grow through over more years. Obviously girls will have similar growth spurts, but they’ll stop growing well before most boys do. My 10 year old grew 2 adult sizes in the past six months alone, and likely has another 5-6 adult sizes to grow into over the next couple years, compared to girls his age who might be approaching their mature shoe size soon.

Dude. I will share this because it’s mainly kinda anonymous here:
We were put through hell by my mil cuz she’s one of these. 4 sons, my husband the oldest, her main target and “golden child”. It’s been fuuuuucking rough.
Finally finally finally a miracle happened that made me think there might actually be a god; pancreatic cancer.
She had been an award winning teacher. I am the one that saw her most diabolical side. I never once suspected she would have targeted students. I have no idea WHY because hindsight, I should have automatically assumed these weirdos are like that!
She was so fucking sick with the way she left “breadcrumb” evidence. Even so much as typing up her secret recipes she told everyone she wouldn’t give until she died. Then sticking one of the letters of evidence in with that. Everywhere throughout her home, we had to clean and sort shit and we’d find written evidence of crimes.
It totally reminded me of those psychological thriller movies where serial killers kept trophies from victims so you know there was a victim, but you have no way of tracing back exactly who they are.
You know why? She always used code names Romeo and Juliet. She’d spell Juliet differently, but each male victim was Romeo.
I had to take it all to professionals. It was so insane.
100% FACT- boy moms REALLY ARE predators and they never have ONE victim!!!!!
And that’s not just me concluding that from my personal experience with this rancid bitch. I had to speak with multiple people that work in this field! They told me there are patterns! Like, it’s absolutely a known thing. I can’t believe it’s not talked about, and warned about more often!!!

I have to stay vague but it was evidence that she was a teacher predator against certain students. Yet, she wouldn’t give specific details to where we could find exact victim. So I had to take it to professionals to know wtf to do. They did help me and I learned things I didn’t want to know. I hadn’t known there are departments in certain states that handle just this type of thing, because that’s how common it was happening in those states.

Yeh that’s basically how it’s been for the rest of the family that knows about it. It’s costing a lot of money in therapy and treatments. My husband had a full mental break that is taking years to recover. It’s horrendous when your parent does this to their kids, then other kids. It leaves everyone retracing steps wondering where they could have intervened to stop them.
Even my own mom feels guilty because years ago she wondered about her. It was bothering her but you can’t take “I have a bad vibe” to police. So now even my mom was left questioning herself. That’s one example of many people that are questioning if there was any way we could have stopped a monster.
But, since I was married to her main target, I saw her most evil side, and this was one thing I never guessed. I saw no signs prior. I truly thought her sons and their partners/families were her victims. I have wracked my brain after and I don’t know what I could’ve done. But I really wish I could’ve known and intervened to save people. It’s so awful.

Thank you. It’s super fucked up that this level of abuser is out there. It’s made me see the world differently for sure. I can tell you that the experience has helped me take zero abuse, even the slightest, from anybody. I have no problem speaking up and shutting shit down. Cuz now I see how the people staying silent are complicit in it. It puts them in a hard position for sure. But, this type of thing needs a scorched earth, slash and burn approach. Can’t tip toe around the slightest abuse. Because these types of people are sometimes way more diabolical in secret. Thanks for listening. I have had to get a lot of help from doctors with this and multiple have told me to write a book so it can help other people. I told them I suck at writing but I would think about finding a ghost writer. It’s a hard topic, but more light on it might help in the greater sense in that maybe it could have less innocent people falling victim to it?

I had no idea professionals that work with this know these patterns! Like, it’s a known thing they do this!

I’m in a group chat with some moms and one ALWAYS sends “boy mom” videos, even through everyone else has girls. Last one she sent was about boy toddlers being reckless and how boys will give you heart attacks and girls will melt your heart.
My 2 year old daughter is more reckless than some of the toddler boys and I just can’t stand the videos. Mini rant over now 🤣
