I’m not in anyway downplaying how many creeps are out there - it’s abhorrent. Not sure if that’s the case here but the dad was right to be protective without any unnecessary aggression
The worst thing here is a guy who maybe didn’t notice he was in the way until the dad and the daughter switched spots, and even after he doesn’t seem to understand personal space still. He’s just in his own world
I tried to explain it exactly like this when I got pulled over once. They acted like it was intentional that I bounced from car to car, I was just hammered.
This analogy doesnt work at all. One is someone having less control over their body while the other is willingly risking the lives of other people. You're not going to kill anybody by just stumbling around.
Analogy still kinda works though. Drunk drivers arent crashing their cars on purpose because they want to, they are doing it because they are drunk morons
I mean, getting shit-faced at a family-friendly event is still pretty bad. Can't really read what's going on since his entire face is blocked out, but even in the best case scenario where his drunk mind was completely virtuous and like "Dang! This tiny human is dancing good! Woo!" it's never good for any adult to be this inebriated in public, especially when there are kids around that you could trip over or fall on.
Getting into a fight and swinging at the slightest infraction is the worst thing you can do. Grew up out on long island and in places like Patchogue at night there was no shortage of drunk idiots getting arrested fighting over dumb shit like bumping into eachother.
If the dad got aggressive here, it'd be significantly more embarrassing for her and him and he'd probably end up in the back of a police car.
