Discussion The easiest $30k this guy ever made

On October 26, 2022, the judge ruled that Walden's contact with Land should have ended when it became clear that Land was not sleeping in the park or in need of assistance, and that the city was not responsible for Walden's actions.

On November 22, 2022, the city settled the lawsuit for $30,000.

I went to prison for 8 years in the US for selling mdma on silkroad. Soon after my release, Trump pardoned the guy who was doing life in prison for running the site.

You mean the pos who thought he was buying hitmen to kill people?

107

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

yes, https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/jan/21/ross-ulbricht-silk-road-trump-pardon Trump claimed he did it for the Libertarian Movement.

77

u/El_Tormentito 26d ago

I mean, he did. The libertarian movement is largely a bunch of fuckwads who want to do illegal shit without being caught.

u/Steamed_Memes24 26d ago

And they always know the age of consent in all fifty states.

11

u/Udder_Influencer 26d ago

The libertarian movement is potheads that want to fuck kids.

ftfy

u/Indigocell 26d ago

They care less and less about the pot these days.

5

u/El_Tormentito 26d ago

That's what I said.

Just another GOP wet dream

Libertarians dispute the legality of certain things—remember slavery was once legal, furthermore intervention from the state is supposed to purposely be burdensome on the state so as to not undermine liberty at will.

u/El_Tormentito 26d ago

They are not serious people.

"They" Who is they? I see a lot of generalization on a thread talking about a specific owner of a massive black market drug site.

So who other than the Silkroad dude is a libertarian and a pedophile?

8

u/elbow8075 26d ago

He did in a way. He did it to secure their vote.

u/ChiefTacoObrien 26d ago

This was actually one of the first crypto bribes in the admin.

The guy's mother met with a Trump cronie, and the trump crypto company account received a few hundred k, then a few days later a MASSIVE, IIRC hundreds of millions of dollar deposit was made, and immediately after Trump announced the pardon.

The deposit was almost immediately traced back to the guy's own Silk Road wallet.

u/Aggressive-Bike6297 26d ago

he did it for the btc

1

u/Xeno__-_- 26d ago

“Trump claimed he did it for the Libertarian Movement” so the guy was a fed is what I’m gathering.

3

u/Ok-Zone-1430 26d ago

Hell, he thought the murders had occurred.

Bryan andrews has entered the chat

2

u/BeTalkinToYah 26d ago

That's the odd thing, I am not sure you ever were.

7

u/Bellatrix_Shimmers 26d ago

Damn you were giving joy and happiness with a medication designed to do just that for couples counseling and they have you 8 years. That’s so wrong. I’m sorry that happened to you.

9

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

It's alright, they just wanted the bitcoin. They wanted to give me 40 years by the drug guidelines, but turned it into 10 after I gave them 3 million $ in btc.

10

u/PM_Me_Your_Kinks369 26d ago

The government loves crypto. Finally they can use anonymous money that Congress has no oversight of. CIA/NSA's wet dream.

4

u/Bellatrix_Shimmers 26d ago

How generous of them… I respect you staying positive all things considered. May all your years to come be filled with genuine joy, happiness and good fortune.

2

u/darlasparents 26d ago

Wow! I bet your story is interesting. How did they catch you?

4

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

I just typed the whole thing a bit below replying to Andreas-bonusfututor basically I was stupid. I was a dutch citizen and they wouldn't have had enough evidence for an extradition. but at some point I flew in to the US, and they were waiting for me.

2

u/yotepost 26d ago

Bless you friend, from the bottom of my heart.

1

u/Significant_Row_5951 26d ago

Thank you for your service, if you tested and sold the real thing you are a hero.

2

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

I'm from the netherlands so all my product was tested first by myself with reagents, then for free by the government. You show up at a clinic with a sample (anonymous) they give you a #, and you call after a week and they tell you the exact %.

1

u/Significant_Row_5951 26d ago

Nice man, you shouldn't have done prison. Everybody needs to experience mdma at least once in their life time and many more with ptsd can get treatment from it. It's not a drug it's a cure if used the right way. I am sorry for your 8 years that you lost to a corrupt and idiotic system.

1

u/BigBankHank 26d ago

And if he had started the opioid epidemic like a real businessman / ethical drug kingpin he never would have been behind bars in the first place.

1

u/PlzDntBanMeAgan 26d ago

Holy shit I didn't know they pardoned ross up right. How did they catch you where did you slip in your opsec?

1

u/usafonz 26d ago

This would piss me off to no end.

1

u/Helixdork 25d ago edited 25d ago

That's actually really interesting, i love reading books on that kind of stuff.

-1

u/Andreas-bonusfututor 26d ago

Now be honest, did you do any of those exit scams?

6

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

Never, totally unnecessary anyway. I did 100% refunds/reships on no arrivals, or any kind of disputes. SuperTrips account had 97% positive feedback

4

u/Andreas-bonusfututor 26d ago

How did you get busted/deanonimized, if you don't mind me asking?

8

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

I couldn't ship to US addresses fast enough, so I had a US based reshipper. He had been working with the feds for a while. At some point btc appreciation (10-30k/day) was making more than the drugs (20-50k/week), for no work or risk. I wanted to transfer my account to the guy in the US for take over the account. At this point the stress wasn't worth the incremental money anymore.

I flew in there myself, and the feds were waiting for me in the airport. Stupid of course, but I never touched the drugs or packages and I honestly thought some partydrugs on a niche bit of the web would not be on their radar.

Even when they had me, I was not that worried because they only had a small bit of actual drugs, so they claimed. Until they arrested Ross Ulbricht, who had been keeping a database of every transaction since day one. He claimed these records were wiped every few weeks, but every gram was accounted for in an excel sheet.

Only at this point my lawyer suggested we plead out and give them all the money. So even though I shipped from the Netherlands, to other places in the world (20% went to US), I was charged with the "worldwide conspiracy" and you get points for the entire drug amount.

2

u/Andreas-bonusfututor 26d ago

Shit, yeah, meeting in person was not ideal. So how was US prison for a Nederlander?)

5

u/DaLyon92x 26d ago

mostly just boring, i've been through 13 different jail and prisons. It's a bit worse as a foreigner because we don't have the same rights at US citizens, so we can only be housed in private prisons. That means the facilities, amenities and food are a bit worse, the guards are all from the local town, that kind of stuff. I worked in landscaping and the kitchen, did exercise, read books, play chess/scrabble/mahjong/cards. it's alright I learned spanish, how to make a fire with 1 AA battery, how to make fishing line out of the elastic in underwear. Also 8 years of introspection and reliving the past must have had some kind of effect.

2

u/Andreas-bonusfututor 26d ago

Well, glad that is all behind you, thanks for your answers. All the best!

4

u/Matt_Hiring_ATL 26d ago

...but we're not a police state. If we're not a police state, what's the threshold to be a police state?

3

u/testprimate 26d ago

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Huh, I wonder if that statistic might be related to slavery not actually being fully abolished

u/pos_vibes_only 26d ago

Joke country

They're trying to build a prison

They're trying to build a prison

They're trying to build a prison

For you and me to live in

1

u/Critical-Test-4446 26d ago

Well, we do have a lot of violent assholes here.

1

u/Longjumping_Doubt_76 25d ago

We have a lot of assholes in the USA.

1

u/BidInternational8546 24d ago

It’s wild isn’t it? But really, the prison system seems to be an industry there, it’s certainly not for the public good
