And the side table needed for the ps5. Could’ve put a console to the left of the fireplace and ended up way better.

Might as well mount it on the ceiling trap door, that way when you fully recline, its perfect!

I’m think in these instances with a high mantle that this is justified, no one wants to redo a whole fireplace
Just for a tv mounting, also with the shape of this room it limits you in some ways …

Put the TV on a stand to the left of the fireplace. Put one of the sofas across from it. Move the recliner to one side or the other of the window, or to the other side of the doorway. The problem with recliners is that not everyone has a living room with the required depth to accommodate them, but they get them anyways and they dominate a space.
And while OP is at it, they need to put the vase to one side or the other of the fireplace. The gaming stuff can go on the TV stand that must be purchased. End table should be next to a sofa. No sofa in front of window. Hang pictures or art. Get a rug. Then OP is good to go!

It's proper seating as well. Although too high, it's the best mantle TV I've seen

Why all the changes? The angle tv made it look oddly better, like it was two separate areas. Dark walls looked cozier. This picture at least doesn't compliment this set up at all

I think it'd be pretty easy to put the tv on the wall with the grey sofa then put the main sofa next to the fireplace where it's also warmer. Then a recliner in the middle of the room that can be rotated to the tv or fireplace depending on what's going on

Man, that living room looks completely soulless.
