Amazing work but why not just create an app to adapt the original steamos?

SteamOS doesn't support dual screen in game mode. It basically sees it as a second monitor

We do want to try making a decky loader plugin that works on vanilla steamOS

What level of games can this handle?

It's a Snapdragon 8 gen 2. Sweet spot seems to be retro gaming, light indie games, older AAA games.

Halo MCC, Fallout 4, Doom 2016, Titanfall 2, Witcher 3. Is that the generation of AAA game these handhelds can handle?

No, Armada is its own separate OS made to look like SteamOS. This is actually forked from SteamOS
