WTF His arm is pregnant now!!
In Ireland, a 33-year-old man injected his own semen into his arm for 18 months to relieve back pain.
The man, who presented to the hospital with severe back pain, drew attention with the swelling in his arm.
Examinations revealed that he had injected semen multiple times in recent periods and had developed a serious infection in his arm.
Following the incident, the man was taken to the hospital and placed under treatment.
Doctors, however, stated that this method has no medical benefit whatsoever.

To relieve his back pain duh?
Doctors used to prescribe cigarettes and opiates like skittles!!!

Probably because some no-fap manosphere influencer told him sperm are literally like testosterone pellets and every time you jizz you’re losing testosterone.
So instead of the keeping his hands off himself, he found a loophole

if i remember correctly, this can cause infertility. The body treats sperm entering the bloodstream as an invasive species, so it creates antibodies in response. This can lead to infertility.

What about swallowing cum
52
u/Ok6303 1h ago
lol, no. The stomach acids kill the sperm.

Aw

u/Surrounded-by_Idiots 1h ago
But look at it this way, there's only so much stomach acid. When there's a will, there's a way.

lol, asking for a friend? 😂 I doubt that would cause an antibody response.

so contraception?
14
u/allsheknew 1h ago
That's where my mind went too. Permanent infertility or just infertility for a little while? (Unless they mean sterility)
11
u/big_sugi 1h ago
If the body’s creating antibodies to its own sperm, I think it’ll keep doing so as long as the body is creating sperm. So, permanently, I think.
I could easily be wrong, though.

Ya know I am no biologist or even someone who knows anything remotely about this stuff.... but I kinda wonder if there is an actual means to make a contraceptive through this method in a more controlled way. Like a way to control the process of making antibodies to a sweet spot where it cant be fertile but also isn't actively harming the body and causing pain.
My guess is the answer is something along the lines of it being technically possible but not practical or safe enough to be worth looking into.

Our immune system in general doesn't know that sperm exist. So evolution created a wall (hematotesticular barrier) to hide your balls from immune system.

A) How did he come (sigh) to the conclusion that semen could help with back pain?
B) Why did he inject semen in his arm to help with backpain?

I have medical theory, but I didn't test it and don't plan to.
However... He must did it after ejaculating, which sends into your body many hormones, including endorphins and adrenaline. Basically best "painkiller" combo you can dream about being produced by your body.
Then he injected it into his arm, so basically he created a new local "pain generator" for a while (for multiple obvious reasons). Your body is able to recognize multiple centers of pain but usually shifts focus to the most serious one. Taken with many hormones going through his body and new pain center, he could at least gaslight humself into thinking that it helps (because psychology does its own part too).
Or he is just crazy, pick one.

Can you imagine how this played out with Irish hospital staff? The Irish have no chill. I was on a plane where the Irish pilot was ripping on a panicking passenger over the PA system. They probably called his friends at the bar and put them on speaker while they were ripping on him.

There is a new fad about injecting unapproved peptides into oneself. Maybe he was trying to get ahead of the game. What if I got all the benefits from my own DNA?

Maybe heard the story or just fucking insane like the person that originally found out about testosterone.
