The average car, or it's engine, does not die put by 70k miles. I will gladly change my opinion if you can provide solid evidence.

Not pictured: the 75%+ of the same year make and model sitting in junkyards.

They made hundreds of thousands of these things every year. You have one of them. The rest didn't survive.
