Look at Dacia in Europe, they are exactly that. Maybe not crank windows, not sure.

Oh god that is so annoying. I just learned about it a few days when I borrowed a new car. I think I will never buy a new car because of this.

Jep... i'm glad to have a car from the last generation with a hard switch for the speed beeping. U can hack newer ones, but u loose ur isurance because u leave proof in the car.
