When it was introduced for 2022, the Ford Maverick was $20k + destination and it had pretty much everything you'd need in a vehicle and got 40mpg (as a truck). The base price for 2026 is now $30k including destination for the same basic truck.

Inflation has been higher than usual but it hasn't amounted to 40% in 4 years. It's greed. Pure and simple.
