It's simply incorrect unfortunately. These features aren't actually all that expensive to add to a car when you break down the actual component costs, you can get small cameras or electronic sensors yourself as a regular consumer on Amazon for a few bucks. The unfortunate reality is that cars are getting more expensive because they can get away with it and it's not more complicated than that lol.
The major auto makers raise their prices at the same time in collusion with one another and you have no choice but to purchase their product because the foreign alternatives aren't sold in our country. They can even raise the price of used cars by doing things like limiting the supply of new cars and replacement parts, most of which are made by companies the major automakers own. The only ways to combat this are boycotts or government action
