I'd take Taron Egerton as Bond. He has proven he could play a spy type character with the Kingsman franchise. And he'd be the first Welsh born actor to play a Bond since Timothy Dalton.

People would just think he's Eggsy though.

Would they? They're differently written. Eggsy was braggadocious and edgy and cursing. Bond is calm, soft spoken. Basically what Collin Firth played in Kingsmen.

I see the vision clearly and I support it

Pretty much the only good choice from who’s available. Unless they decide to go with an unknown name. He could play the role longer than most others to take the title as well.

He a bit too old now, no?

Yeah, Timothy Dalton is 80. He's too old.

All joking aside, Roger Moore was 57 in his last Bond movie. Taron is 36. I'd Sayed he can play Bond for 3-4 movies and still not be 51 like Craig was . Craig stared in the role at 37-38 and did it till he was 51-53.

He's 36? Holy cow, in the last thing he was in he looked so much older. Taron would be a good Bond then

Well, they're actors. They are made to look older or younger with prosthetics and make up.

Bonds are generally around 30 when they start. Tom just recently turned 30. Not saying he'd be a good fit, but he fits perfectly in the age range.

That being said, Sean Connery was a ROUGH 31 year old in Dr. No.

30 isn't a rule. Brosnan was 42 when he started and 49 when he left. Moore was 45 in his first movie and 57 when he left . Connery looked 50 at 32 lol . Lazenby was 29, and Timothy Dalton was 41. Daniel Craig was 38.

They all basically were , with exception of Lazenby, in the role at least 45 or more on average.

I don't know where the 30 rule is form you mentioned, but it's definitely an exception to the rule considering they're all basically 40+ in most of their movies.

1) Ian Fleming was vague with Bond's age but he always had them around mid 30s.

2) early 30s is a good first entry age so that they have about 10ish years from the actor before the "old age" shtick comes in.

Also, if they plan on have a young bond girl, today's audience wouldn't take lightly to a 45 year old hitting on a 20 year old.

And why would the Bond girl be in her 20s? They can cast 30-40 year olds, as they've done before.

Because its Amazon and they are 100% going to target younger audiences and not the already established fanbase.

Just look at the most recent James Bond actor in the new video game. Hes 31 and looks like he could play a high schooler.

Are we casting a highschool 007 or what?
